You don't set the rules Colette as much as you'd like to think you do.

If it is against Forum TOS...then of course i'll abide with them and admit it was an error of judgement on my part. I could have disclosed a lot more than i did.....you might not know this, but i even know quite a bit about you going back to last year. SL is indeed a small world.......despite you being a pain in the arse, I chose not to.

When I thought rightly or wrongly Mort was referring to "Pony" as being a sexual fetish act...i chose to expose his own sexual fetishes. It was a simply tit for tat, nothing more and nothing less.......because thats the way I took his "Pony" comment. I had no references of it being some sort of code word.
Rene, please beleive me when I say I am saying this to try and help you understand. Nobody cares that you made his already public profile even more public, and unless I am very wrong I mean nobody - not even Mort.
What you are being berrated for is using his profile to belittle him, demean him and make judgements about him to discredit him solely based on his pesonal taste and not what he posts here.
That is the difference, it is wrong to do that.

it was the first time i have seen it being quoted...on here. I don't visit all the threads in RA
You are a seasoned account - that shows on your join date and you have already said in the bot thread you lurk and read a lot. Mort probably assumed you would understand the reference. He would have to comment on that, maybe he didn't care either way. After all "pony" is for posts he thinks are not worth a serious response.

Very much so.

There are a lot of people on these boards who have kinks and diversions => is Rene going to start mocking all of them?

i already explained the reason why i did......i took his repeated "pony" comments
to mean something else. I thought he was trying to riducule me.....if you look at that image, its easy to see why! I wasn't going to let that past just like that......its one thing to be called troll, or have some candy....or suck on this lollipop or whatever.....another thing to demean someone. He might as well call me a wanker....as it would have the same impact as Pony did

I was stating how people behave around here. You are being a Boor.

It takes a TOS for you to behave? Pathetic.

No i read RA in spurts.....maybe once every 2 weeks and then i will only handpick a few threads...either read or add a comment and then go again. Apart from this week, I don't spend much time in RA. I do the same on SLEX forums...read a few threads, make a few comments and thats it for a week or two.

You are way out of line threatening Colette like that - when has she ever issued threats against you? Colette has a right to post here unmolested by anyone including you.

Okay, indeed I do think you should not have posted the profile info Rene, it has nothing to do with the postings, and it is simply not done, in my opinion. As much as I understand your motivation, it still is not a good practice.

The "pony" yelling itself: It is better not to react, the posting such a childish reaction. To be honest, it makes me indeed doubt MortVents age, it fits a teen better then an adult to do such silly things. And if it only is used as answer to postings too silly to answer to, I think Mort should include it in most of his own postings, to save others the trouble.

Finally the troll calling from both sides. No one here is a troll, as far as I can see. To be fair, in my opinion colette does come lose though, and she knows some people think so. Then again, it is done subtle enough not to be noticed by everyone :)

But I am free to put colette on ignore. So is everyone else. The fact she has some trolling behavior, does not justify yelling troll every other post, it just does not solve anything. Neither does yelling troll at Rene every other post. And neither does yelling pony every other post.
We are all supposed to be adults, lets try to keep it adult. If that is too hard, say goodbye to this thread. Really, it is just a forum. And it is just some peoples opinion. Nothing here worth making yourself worked up about it.

I think pretty much everyone here who's not in your informed group, wants a fairer search..
You mean the 5 or 6 of you?

#1 I wondered what "Pony!" meant myself, so I asked a couple of people, and they didn't know either. But we looked it up and we concluded that it means crap in the rubbish sense. Now Mort claims that he means it as a rallying cry that he got from a comic. I don't believe him because I don't think he's trying to rally anyone with it, and the rallying cry is "For Pony!" - not just "Pony!". If he is, it's just so silly because nobody understood it as that. Either way, it's a silly expression to use here because people generally don't understand what is meant by it. Coming up with the comic just adds to my strong feeling about his age.

#2 I didn't see Rene publish Mort's profile. All I saw was a URL to a public page on a public website, so no harm done there, and the suggestions to apologise are trolling nonsense.

I disagree. Colette trolls here whenever she can, and it isn't subtle at all. It's quiet, incessant trolling, but it's not subtle.

Join the Forum Cartel. It is free, I am a member as well. Now this is advertising, I know, but the Cartel is not commercial. And at some days, group chat is quite funny :)

In case anyone would like to get back on topic:-
-------------------------------------------------------------

After almost 700 posts, I think it's correct to say that the answer to the OP's question is no - paying for picks isn't cheating.

It isn't liked or approved of by a few people, but in order for something to be cheating, someone must be cheated. Views as to ethics, preferences and whatever else don't come into whether it is actually cheating or not. For something to be "cheating", someone must be cheated, and nobody is being cheated - imo.

See this is where I have a problem, a post like this where it is all opinions that are being presented as facts. There is still disagreement and room for disagreements. Nothing was decided by at least a majority, nobody agreed to any such result and you can only speak for yourself Phil not everyone. You do not get to decide that the issue was decided one way or another.
I think that avoiding claims and statements like this about the thread unless there is a general consensus would be a wiser course of action in future.

I do not agree with your post Phil and if you feel compelled to ask why I will point you to go back and read again a lot of those posts that disagreed with you along the way including some of mine.

They don't walk, but it's not a bad idea. Unfortunately, they don't post in forums either, so maybe it's not such a good idea.

I could start my own another way, I suppose, and advertise it - "Have Clique, Will Travel"
