Has anyone noticed how Rhonda and Brann seem to be metamorphosing into the same person? You can't see the same linebacker's thighs in this photo though . . . Pep ( . . . as you could in the bee costume last Saturday.) Hmm, I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this today, pippy dipstick, but you are a blithering idiot. Until you finally come up with an avatar that doesn't look like it just came out of a freebie noob box, you really shouldn't be commenting on other people's choices. Just sayin' _____________________

Actually Brann and Rhonda do have a lot in common. They are both wonderful ladies and are among the most beautiful avatars I've come across in SL, and I'm very proud to have them on my friends list.

I think this is a leftover of the part of my childhood where pretty much the only meat we ate was hamburger in some form. Meatloaf was a twice weekly meal because of how cheap it was - spaghetti was another dish we ate usually twice a week.. When I first graduated college, I would not touch ground beef in any dish for months. For some reason, the meatloaf part has stuck with me. Funny how those childhood experiences manifest in different ways. I adore meatloaf, we had it a lot when I was a kid. My husband cannot even think of it without gagging, for the exact same reason, a lot of it when a kid. I am starving after reading this thread but all I have to eat at my desk today is a tube of Pringles. ![]() ![]() |

![]() Not nearly. It goes well with meat and potatoes. Or, mix it 50/50 with Worcestershire sauce ![]() and apply liberally to french fries. Mmmmm! ewww (not really, I've had my fries too close to other food on a plate before and gotten 'sauce' on the fries and thought it tasted good; heck sometimes that "other" food was a salad. Thousand island and fries (or whatever salad dressing it was)) |

Oh L and P, which is made right here in New Jersey, is the best. When I am having a steak at a restaurant, the waitr will ask "Do you need steak sauce?" My response is always "I hope not". I can't see ruining a good hunk of meat with sauces and crap...but L and P is one that I do use frequently depending on the type of steak. I like eating steak with ketchup. I like ketchup. Also the steak I get is normally not prepared just like I like. |

I'm a bit late in the meatloaf debate, but isn't meatloaf just like hamburger, except without the crusty bits on the outside of each slice?
In any case, my meatloaf has pretty much the same ingredients as my homemade burgers do, and I serve it the same: chopped onion, tomato, the works ![]() _____________________

I understand that. Ironically, I didn't care a lot for meatloaf as a kid..my mom made it in tomato sauce...it wasn't until a freind's mom made it with brown gravy that I started to really like it. _____________________

Now THAT is brown gravy -- yuuuuummmmmm. And that's also looks like a picture of poutine ... I can see the cheese curds hiding under the gravy. _____________________

I like eating steak with ketchup. I like ketchup. Also the steak I get is normally not prepared just like I like. Ketchup should be used with french fries only or mixed with horseradish to make cocktail sauce - it has no other purpose in life. _____________________

hmm - mom always made it using tomato sauce, but then often served brown gravy with it. Maybe I'll give it a try without using tomato sauce in it. I've also heard that using something like Italian Bread Crumbs rather than regular ones will give it a better taste. My mother has altered her approach to bread crumbs. Besides saving baguettes when they go dry, and toasting the heels of sliced loaves (to dry them), when she needs bread crumbs she takes the near empties of the various chips ("crisps" for those abroad) that Six consumes. She grinds them all together in a blender. The chips aren't so much potato chips as corn chips and some more exotic health-food-type chips, so they add an interesting flavor. |

The ONLY reason to ever put ketchup on a steak is if the steak is already ruined to such a degree that you need to completely mask the taste of it -- better to just toss it aside instead. Ketchup should be used with french fries only or mixed with horseradish to make cocktail sauce - it has no other purpose in life. You are SUCH an elitist. ![]() |

I tend to make croutons out of my ends of bread which I'll toss into a salad. I don't use bread crumbs that often but panko breadcrumbs are great when you're breading something and want them really crispy. _____________________

Darn! I just got an email from one of Mom's friends who said,
I was thinking of you, Seven, as I saw that Madeleine L'Engle was giving a presentation in town. Unfortunately it was on a night when I had a prior commitment, and wasn't able to go. It's so funny: she wanted to tell me that she'd *thought* of me when she couldn't go, but she didn't think to *tell* me until it was too late! But then it gets funnier: I googled to make sure that the presentation had really passed (maybe I still had a chance of going), and guess what? Madeleine L'Engle died in 2007! |
