You forgot to mention "ex-pro footballer that got battered by a woman at some point in his life".

Eli . . . as much fun as it is to take swipes at Pep, I do wish you wouldn't keep using this. It would be distasteful and insensitive, to say the least, were you to joke about a woman who'd been abused, and it's really no better to make light of it happening to a man (whether or not it applies to Pep). Abuse really isn't funny, regardless of who the victim is.

Sorry, I don't mean to sound humourless, but . . .

Is part of the shiny lasers that will shoot at tree limbs that try to fall onto your car?

God I wish. That tree doesn't know how close it came to beeing whacked. But that would be a crime, it is such an lovely old tree.

While I agree with you Scylla I should confirm that I have not personally been subject to any attacks from either gender (apart from the usual rough-housing involved in pro sport) since the age of six, when some idiot in school (a bully, a few inches and tens of pounds bigger than me) demanded I fight him. I am ashamed to say that I knocked a couple of his teeth out and blacked both of his eyes so badly that he couldn't see for a week, and the horror of what I had done imbued in me an abhorrence of violence that has persisted to this day.

Pep (Now I just look mean and nasty enough to deter potential threats.)

I doubt if you did. Perhaps you are trying to pretend that you can read more than a sentence at a time, Eli.

LOL, Lil, there's no pleasing you!

I'll take some of the mushroom soup, AND a slap of meatloaf, please! :)
I'm much better now than I was as a kid. I'll eat a lot of different things now, but I never did become a meatloaf fan.

I was so picky as a kid, one day I saw my mom making her tuna noodle casserole. That was one of my favorite meals, but as I watched, she put in a can of cream of mushroom soup. I absolutely hated mushrooms -- still not real wild about them. Anyway, being the picky eater that I was and a dumb kid as well, I refused to eat the tuna noodle casserole for the next couple of years because of seeing that can of cream of mushroom soup being added. It did not matter to me that I had eaten it for years and loved it. Luckily I grew out of that phase.

Well, I LIKE meatloaf, but it's sort of more of a comfort food thing? You know, with mash potatoes and corn . . . sort of redolent of childhood.

So, I'm certainly not a Communist. Maybe more of a . . . Socialist? :D

Finally, my first break from the planning sessions. I love my job, but I like the more technical aspects best. We will be hitting that after lunch.

Sort of a spicey tamarind-based sauce. It's English, but it's yummy anyway.

OK, again. Slowly.

"None" is a singular noun. It is a shortened form of "no one" from the Old English.

It takes the singular form of the verb.

The singular form of the verb "to be" is "is" not "are".

You are wrong, as was Eli.

Pep (Now you are making an even bigger fool of yourself, again.)

Oh definitely comfort food. Mashied and corn...I used to put the corn in the potatoes when I was a kid. Plus the leftovers....yummy. A hunk of the loaf on a crusty roll with brown gravy... :)
