Not that I know of.

I know SLink has a HUD/pose stand combo to let someone else set the color and texture of your SLink prim feet for you but I have not seen anything like this that will allow someone else to do the positioning.

Well I certainly need to get that as I cannot seem to set it myself (see halloween party pics, SLink prim feet look like brown shoes.) I spent ages with the color and it looked right when I was done but in the pics is obviously wrong, wrong, oh so wrong.) I think it has something to do with my facelight, which lights the front of the body including the feet, as the back of the feet were much darker than the front. Also I was on a laptop which also may have affected how I saw the color. Definitely should have got on the desktop for that.

Nah! Females get over-emotional and over-react.
I never get OVER-emotional or OVER-react. Regardless of how emotional I might ever be, it is always just the right amount for the situation.

Pep (40% of the men were killed for leaving the toilet seat up, 30% for not taking the garbage out when told and 10% for buying the wrong brand of perfume for her birthday.)
Does not sound like an over-reaction to me. :D

You do realize, don't you, that many of the wife-beaters are disciplining their wives for similar type transgressions.

Sorry Lil, I'm not getting in any serious discussions about violence against women; I find it completely abhorrent.

Pep (Just as abhorrent as violence against men.)

Anybody out there with Restrained Life experience - does that viewer have this functionality?

Amazing that he's doing it with just scripts. The only way I can think of to do this is to use PERMISSION_CHANGE_LINKS and unlink/relink whenever the other person edits a prim.
It is an interesting idea. The few times I have helped someone with this does not really justify buying a product, but it could be a bit help for designers that are always getting requests from folks to help adjust their prim clothing.

Oh that's good to know. I've never paid the xstreet avatar before but I always thought you could do that, rather than using the remote deposit box or directly through a terminal. I have heard there were spoof avatars though. Is that what happened or was there just a delay in having your lindens deposited?
The remote deposit box is the fastest and safest way anymore.

Actually, the issue with matching colors is that they can potentially always look different to someone else. How colors and lighting looks in the pics I take depend as much on how I have my graphics settings set as in how well you have matched your feet.

This.

I love my Matryia feet but I have to come to accept that they will only match on people who have exactly the same hardware and software as I do. Even then they only match perfectly about 4:00 PM sim time using Linden defaults. :o

It is just the nature of prim lighting vs mesh lighting.

There was a time you could do that, but that time is no more. There is even a blurb in the profile that says not to pay them directly.

I do not know when it changed - it might have been from the buyout. All I know is that at one time you could and not you can not.

Ah good to know as I've told people that they could pay that av. I usually use the remote deposit box if I need something due to the scam potential with invisible prims at terminal locations.

It is pretty rare that I need L$ to go from in world to SLX. I usually buy L$ from them. Also, I tend to find the stores on SLX and then tp to them in world to buy.

Yeah, while I do buy a few things on SLX, my primary usage is just buy more L$ to fund my inworld love of shopping.

Just to add a little data to the opinions ... Of course, this is for the U.S., data may vary in other countries.

From the U.S. DOJ

From: someone
Intimate Partner Violence
Provides information on violence by intimates (current or former spouses, girlfriends, or boyfriends) since the redesign of the National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS). The redesigned survey has new questions about violence by intimates. The report covers trends in intimate violence, characteristics of victims (race, sex, age, income, ethnicity, and whether the victims live in urban, suburban, or rural areas), type of crime (physical assault, verbal threats), and trends for reporting to police. Intimate victimizations measured include rape, sexual assault, robbery, aggravated assault, and simple assault. Data on murder by intimates are also given. The data for this report came from the NCVS and the FBI's Supplementary Homicide Reports.

Highlights include the following:

Lethal
Intimate partners committed fewer murders in each of the 3 years 1996, 1997, and 1998 than in any other year since 1976.
Between 1976 and 1998, the number of male victims of intimate partner homicide fell an average 4% per year and the number of female victims fell an average 1%.
Nonlethal

The number of female victims of intimate violence declined from 1993 to 1998. In 1998 women experienced an estimated 876,340 violent offenses at the hands of an intimate, down from 1.1 million in 1993.
In both 1993 and 1998, men were victims of about 160,000 violent crimes by an intimate partner.

This is pretty amazing, and solves a problem people have been complaining about for a long time. I'm going to pick one up when I get inworld.

The most obvious thing to me is that someone could finally have a business adjusting clothes for other people.

Nods. I suggested to him that he advertise it on Fashcon. Looks to me like right now there's quite a bit of overhead involved in setting it up, but it's easy to see how some of that could be automated too. Therefore the automatic updates.

I wonder if we could set some up in the hangout's freebie room. I will have to take a more serious look at this system tonight.

While the Model part of it is free, the one actually doing the modifications needs to have the Editor version that costs just shy of L$800 and the Model version is not of much use otherwise.

I wonder if that's what BAX uses when you go into the store and have them mod your boots (the newer boots)..

If you wanted to set a place for folks to use it, the hangout Dressing Room might be a good place, particularly as he mentioned it has a LOT of scripts. Someplace above 1500 would be less laggy.

Actually, does anyone know, is the Dressing Room still really low in the sky? I seem to remember it was only at 300m or so when it was first put up, and it should be high for both privacy and lag reasons. If it's only using a sittarget teleporter, I can replace that with a full-sim one; in fact, with a notecard-configurable menu-driven one, so one could teleport to multiple places in the rather large parcel.

Also, the editor is $L750 if you buy it inworld at his shop; introductory price.

With someone with the power to do so please put a picture up for the forum cartel land snapshot? I am saddened to keep seeing the X of no picture every time I put Forum Cartel into search.
