Ugh..don't remind me. It will be interesting to see how much I keep. I will have to leave it for now...I wasted my morning looking for this ome Pumpking in Essential Soul Studios. I can't find it, I found 3 other hunt prizes, but not this one. I don't think there is one, maybe they forgot.

LOL

"How much you keep"? It will be interesting if you open all the boxes!

That bit:

Makes me think of Yosef; I remember he had that as his sig for a while.

(and I loved "Dune" :) )

My daughter bought me a tee shirt with this on it last Mother's Day :)
It is starting to crack and fade already because I wore it so much over the summer.

I'm doing my first Grid Hunt, The Pumpkin Print. Anyone else doing it? I'm stuck someplace without a hint and I can't find the frigging pumpkin anywhere.
I actually do not do any of the hunts now that have more than about 50 stops and often not more than 30. My inventory cannot take it and it takes me too long to sort thru all of the stuff, most of which I do not want. If I am in a store and happen to see a hunt item, I'll nab it -- cuz likely it will contain stuff from that store that I already am in and looking at.

Probably will...some are not described too well as to contents, but I've already trashed 3 out of 5 prizes so far.

I hope you finished organizing your inventory before you started on the hunt. ;)

I still have unopened boxes from the Twisted hunt before the last one. I just added all the new ones into the folder with the old ones to be ignored until a later date :o

I have this bad habit of trying to scroll thru inventory and accidentally clicking a folder or item, dragging it and dropping it before I even realize what I did -- so I sometimes end up with odd items in odd places. So, I was sorting inventory the other day and found a folder with stuff from an Easter hunt -- this year, I **think**.

Wow, you professors are strict. Mine would just give us dirty looks and move on.

Just what type of class is this anyway?

Comparative Physiology.

I went along with the shock since my lab partner really didn't want to do it.

Course me and my funky nerves didn't work properly, even the prof couldn't find the nerve lol. so I got out of being the test dummy and he had to do it instead. :p

Is it creepy? I know two ppl, one in SL and one in RL who have my same birthday (same day, same year), and we are what Anne of Green Gables would call "kindred spirits".

Day and year? because Mo and I were born on the same day, but different years.

LOL...what the heck class are you taking, anyway????

Glad you came over to the scrambled egg side. They can be very yummy...either just the eggs alone, or when you add stuff to them. :)

If I'm feelign indulgent I like adding Ham and a bit of cheese to them. If not, they're lovely with just black pepper.

I saw a mexican-inspired recipe with chilli and tomatoes. Sounded lovely, I'll have to try it sometime.

The Ulnar Nerve.

They gave a tiny shock to the wrist and then the elbow and it made the hand muscles twitch. wasn't awful, but my hand is still tingling as if its still being shocked lol.

I love coffee, but I've been on decaf as far as I can remember.

I can't really notice the taste difference until I sit down with a really strong cup of real coffee. Then I realise that my decaf - as much as I love it - is nothing compared to the proper stuff. I have to stick with less than two cups though, or I get headaches.

Might have somethign to do with me usually drinking instant too. Decaf instant and Caffeinated instant taste the same to me.

Another thing to try, when you have left-over rice, is to to heat the rice in the fry pan a bit (so they're not cold), and then toss the eggs in. A rice omelet is very filling and tasty.

There are lots of different vegetables you can do the same with, and it's a good way to deal with leftovers of all kinds.

A little splash of Worcestershire sauce is good in the eggs as well.

I like to whisk up the eggs so they are as fluffy as possible before I pour them in the pan.

But I really think you need to put even a little bit of salt in eggs or they don't taste right.

OK, I've not been to this store, but I just read about "Multiple Personality Disorder" in one of the blogs. Everything in the store is 1L each.

YOUR body might ... not mine.

It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.
It is by the beans of Java my thoughts aquire speed.
My hands aquire shakes,
The shakes becomes a warning.
It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.

For trivia buffs: This is a parody of a quote from "Dune" by Frank Herbert. In the book, the character Peter de Vries says,

"It is by will alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the juice of Sapho that thoughts acquire speed, the lips acquire stains, stains become a warning. It is by will alone I set my mind in motion."

...But you knew that, didn't you Weston? Argent? :)

First proper practical class today, I'm wondering if I am going to be the one getting the electric shocks or someone else will get chosen lol.

Anyway, speaking of them now, I just finished enjoying a sweet little mini series I had never heard of from 2001 called "The Infinite Worlds of H. G. Wells."
This sounds great, I want to see it. I love H.G. Wells and Jules Verne.

Awww Beany and Cecil! Back from the far reaches of time...

Oh my gosh...
So.. yeah. I'm going to be in San Francisco this weekend, and... well, I just found out there is a huge air show there THIS WEEKEND. Including the Blue Angels. Also Navy ship tours.
Holy Mackeral. I'm a little excited.

Thank you, Lindal. I haven't read Dune since I was 16 so that was long gone from my memory!

I like the one about fear. I will never forget it, the one that starts,

I must not fear.

ok..ok..

Benne Gesserit not Yoda. *sighs*

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

(ETA: but...Yoda has better ears! )

Maureen works so hard slaving away in her virtual kitchen each morning to provide all of us with a nutritious and hearty breakfast that I propose we all chip in and buy her one of these: http://www.platform21.nl/index.php

Over the course of a week, a group of Japanese artists, in a participatory type of art installation, created a Rube Goldberg'ish breakfast machine that will make you an omelet, toast with jam, coffee and juice. The contraption was conceived using recycled and reclaimed materials. So nifty! I want one.
