Breakfast request for Mo! I'd like to have this and just to be annoying and difficult, with a half caf decaf double tall non-fat extra-dry cappuccino, please.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BeOMCJmYYFM

There is nothing worse than eating badly overcooked, rubbery scrambled eggs but this seems like a nifty way to make them: http://static.foodmayhem.com/uploads/2009/10/FoodMayhem-Chef-Jody-Williams-Scrambled-Eggs.m4v

yikes on that first video, but those wacky coffee orders at places like Starbucks overwhelm me (not being a daily coffee drinker).

But wow! I liked the way she made those scrambled eggs in the 2nd video. I love scrambled eggs. Mine have to be on the dry side...none of those runny eggs for me!

So, breakfast:

And speaking of movies that tie in Victorian England with science fiction --

What? We weren't? Well, sorry.

Anyway, speaking of them now, I just finished enjoying a sweet little mini series I had never heard of from 2001 called "The Infinite Worlds of H. G. Wells."

I know it's nearly a decade old now, but I was oblivious to it. It's one of those Hallmark made for TV specials so it will not be to everyone's taste -- in other words there's no nihilism or gore. But for those who may like a charming love story interspersed with five separate Twilight Zone-like stories with a lot of quaint Victorian mannerisms and fun characterization and little to no historical accuracy, you may find it a refreshing change from the depressing fare we're exposed to most of the time from Hollywood. It might have some small appeal to the steampunk crowd.

The darn thing is over four hours long though, all on one DVD. I rented it through Netflix.

My apologies if all this is common knowledge. I don't watch TV and I am clearly not up to speed on pop culture these days. But then, why should I be?

Thanks, Weston. I'd not seen that miniseries, and I don't watch much TV these days. :)

I'm doing my first Grid Hunt, The Pumpkin Print. Anyone else doing it? I'm stuck someplace without a hint and I can't find the frigging pumpkin anywhere.

Gosh, if I had known you did not know of this store, I would have told you long ago. I think I own almost all of their stuff. They started out as Kissable Kitties or something like that (or maybe MPD bought the other). You can find a lot of the original stuff in the building next to their main one and buy up fat packs of 5-6 colors for L$3.

Yeah, I don't know how I missed it! Some "finely tuned shopping machine" I am!!! :o :p

Hello everyone!

I'm in a wierdly good mood today. :D

First proper practical class today, I'm wondering if I am going to be the one getting the electric shocks or someone else will get chosen lol.

Anyway, how is everyone today?

I love that hat Brenda - you look great in it, and that picture is brill! :)

mmm scrambled eggs. I never used to be a fan - until i saw Rachel Allen make some on TV and just needed to make some suddenly. Now I love them. It might have been because my Gran likes to overcook them in the microwave - blech.

LOL...what the heck class are you taking, anyway????

Glad you came over to the scrambled egg side. They can be very yummy...either just the eggs alone, or when you add stuff to them. :)

Oh my gosh...
So.. yeah. I'm going to be in San Francisco this weekend, and... well, I just found out there is a huge air show there THIS WEEKEND. Including the Blue Angels. Also Navy ship tours.
Holy Mackeral. I'm a little excited.

Holy cow! In addition to everything San Francisco has to offer, these are some nifty bonuses!!

Have fun!! :)

Hi, everybody.

Glad to hear news from you, Claire!

I'm feeling way better, but man! why does the flu linger so long? I still can't drink coffee for some reason. I find myself drinking decaf for some reason. Water is amazingly good, as if was out in the desert.

water - your body needs it.
coffee - your body can live without it (after the caffeine withdrawal, that is. :p)

This, without a doubt. I tried to knock the caffeine -- actually had to for a while. After a month, long after the withdrawal was over, I still could not function for half the damn day -- and I was even still smoking then.

Do not, under any circumstances, come between me and my morning coffee.

Ugh..don't remind me. It will be interesting to see how much I keep. I will have to leave it for now...I wasted my morning looking for this ome Pumpking in Essential Soul Studios. I can't find it, I found 3 other hunt prizes, but not this one. I don't think there is one, maybe they forgot.
