The flat upstairs are having a party - on a Tuesday. I have a 9am class tomorrow. 2 hours of trying to sleep and I've decided its impossible. I'd read my book but I just know I'll have to read back over it again tomorrow.

eugh. Now is when I wish I still had one of those tablets that made me sleep no matter what lol.

I am getting a warning from a few groups about a site called virtualget.net. One group even says that the site's sole reason for existing is to rip your credit card info - so be careful. I did go look at the site, but since it is selling a variety of products from multiple creators and wants a bunch of RL info to create an account, I went no further.

Another good reason to shop strictly in world.

Take a mug of milk, a couple of spoons of sugar, and at least 6 drops of vanilla, heat up to very warm but not skim the top of the milk, stir, let cool to drink temp and drink.. will send you off to dreamland!

I loved Beanie and Cecil. I used to have a talking Cecil stuffed animal ("I'm coming Beanie boy!" and kept it well into adulthood. It would probably be worth a fortune now, except one of my canine friends chewed it up.

I had to chuckle at this coffee cup. I think it's held a little too much coffee. It's got the jitters.



I have only read Dune twice, both times long ago, so I didn't quite catch the reference. I didn't care for the movie much. As my sister, who is not much of a science fiction fan, astutely pointed out, "You'd think if they could travel between the stars, they could screw in a few light bulbs." Fantastic book though. I can no longer make those kinds of reading commitments -- I must keep up with The Thread!

THE FROG

There was a 10 year old boy walking down the sidewalk dragging a flattened frog on a string behind him.

He walked up to a house of ill repute and knocked on the door.. When the Madam answered it, she saw the little boy and asked what he wanted. He said, 'I want to have sex with one of the women inside. I have the money and I'm not leaving until I do.'

The Madam figured, why not, so she told him to come in. Once in, she told him to pick any of the girls he liked. He asked, 'Do any of the girls have any diseases?'

Of course, the Madam said no, but the boy replied, 'I heard all the men talking about having to get shots after making it with Amber. So THAT'S the girl I want!'

Since the little boy was so adamant and had the money to pay for it, the Madam told him to go to the first room on the right. He headed down the hall dragging the squashed frog behind him.

Ten minutes later he came back, still dragging the frog, paid the Madam, and headed out the door.

The Madam stopped him and asked, 'Why did you pick the only girl in the place with a disease, instead of one of the others?'

He said, "Well, if you must know, tonight when I get home, my parents are going out to a restaurant to eat, leaving me at home with my babysitter. After they leave, my babysitter will have sex with me because she just happens to be very fond of little boys. She will get the disease that I just caught.

"When Mom and Dad get back, Dad will take the babysitter home. On the way, he'll jump her bones, and he'll catch the disease.

"Then when Dad gets home from the babysitters, he and Mom will go to bed and have sex, and Mom will catch it.

"In the morning when Dad goes to work, the Milkman will deliver the milk,have a quickie with Mom and catch the disease...and HE'S the son-of-a-bitch who ran over my FROG!"

A supermarket opened in southern Wisconsin .

It has an automatic water mister to keep the produce fresh. Just before it
goes on, you hear the sound of distant thunder and the smell of fresh rain.

When you pass the milk cases, you hear cows mooing and you experience the
scent of freshly mowed hay.


In the meat department there is the aroma of charcoal grilled steaks with
onions.


When you approach the egg case, you hear hens cluck and cackle and the air
is filled with the pleasing aroma of bacon and eggs frying.


The bread department features the tantalizing smell of fresh baked bread and
cookies.


I don't buy toilet paper there anymore.
