I don't have much to add to the discussion, so I make my one final comment to Pep.

I feel sorry for you man. I sincerely do!
Your sympathy is obviously insincere, and as such is unwanted and wasted.

From: Tex Nasworthy
For anyone to enjoy behaving as you do, as much as you seem to, can only be the result of one of two things. Either you have a miserable life or have some type of mental issues.
Please state your qualifications as a Long Distance Textually Orientated Psychologist or STFU.

Pep (Some people here know something about the real me, but you aren't one of them and you are not even close;you obviously have a very limited exposure to non-GOBs and the monodimensional nature of semi-Mexicans is not a good model upon which to assess more complex personalities.)

That's the number of posts to go to reach 100,000 :D

I think . . .

More or less, since we seem to have a hole in the forum.

I came home early for a few minutes but my kitty was gone. :(

She was not in her cage, not in the living-room, not out in the garden.

Then I found her. She was in the bed!
Poor kitty had a headache from all the blowing dust out here today.

Kaimi and Seven - thanks for your good wishes. I appreciate your concern, but I did not post about my friend here for sympathy for her or myself, but to inform readers that my usual dispassionate mien might be disturbed a little and that they should not necessarily rely on my comments here to be as civilised and restrained as they normally are.

Pep (I have controlled myself so far.)

Would you consider saving your assessments for those who ask for them? This approach is recommended by at least some (possibly self-styled) experts on civilized behavior.

It's a shame you apparently have to be old and bald to enjoy it . . .

Pep (Neither old nor bald. ;) )
Sorry to be so argumentative but this guy looks to me as if he could easily be quite young. (Of course more and more people seem that way to me.) But I think wealth would be more of a prerequisite than age. (Of course that does come to some people only as they get old.)

Lexxi can post as many pictures of herself as she wants, in my opinion. She's like visual cheesecake.
I agree. And obviously Clover agrees too. :p
I agree too. Um... I have to go down to the Cheesecake Factory now...brb.

i am fond of this pic for lots of reasons, but mostly because it makes me think of my son ,who is the coolest cat in town. :)
Another thing we have in common - my son is pretty cool too.
I long for the day when pilots can soar into the sky over the ocean for the sheer joy of it without having to be prepared to fight to the death. Meanwhile I honor all the members of Brenda's and everyone's family who risk their lives to serve.

Morning

I got very lucky with a composition yesterday, when things just lined up right. Just wanted to share

Great pic in every way. I always thought you had a big heart, Brann.

Although this is a shame, I still found it quite beautiful--

It is beautiful but that's not what brings tears to my eyes. I know some forest fires are natural and beneficial but those deer... so poignant.

I'm sorry....did you say something about expressions? Somehow, I could never describe Lexxi's face when she posts pictures. The rest is so tantalizingly hypnotic, my eyes are instantly drawn to her other...assets. *blinks innocently*

I always see a lot of emotion in Lexxi's pictures. I think her face is subtly different in every one. Possibly it is other elements of the scene that cause me to see her that way.

Pleasant day Threadtopia :) I wasn't very well earlier, so I took the day off from work (a rare occurance). Feeling a bit better at the moment, hoping I'll continue to recoup as the day goes on so it won't be a complete loss being home. I need a new router here. Seems the one we have is not very compatible with my new laptop at all - keeps dropping the connection :( After 3 days of Ghosty doing everything possible to keep it connected including tearing his hair out he finally has called it a day and said we must get a new one. C'est la vie.

...
Feel much better very soon, Elora and good luck with getting the router situation sorted out.

Well, I can't see Ghosty's garden disappearing as either good or even mediocre news but thanks for the head's up, I'll get over there tonite for a last look around. :( Congrats on your new and improved land, though, and formal partnering.

Well, it wasn't exactly "bad" news either since there will be a much improved garden in the future. I didn't want to sound doom and gloom about it being it's virtual and can be recreated. He'll now have a lot more space (and prims!) to indulge himself, and that, is a very good thing :)

i'm a bit curious as well, but i'm going to go ahead and place my small wager on the possibility of it being a Rick Nielsen (Cheap Trick) thing.

The Return of a Rare Bird: The Flamingo Guitar

The five-necked instrument sports an electric guitar, banjo, classical guitar and mandolin as well as a flamingo neck and head to demonstrate the versatility of the Bird of Paradise Capo. This "truly mutant" instrument is fully playable.

Commissioned by John Wiesenthal, president of Digital Revolution, Inc., the flamingo guitar was built by luthier, Bernard Lehmann , of Rochester New York. "This Flamingo Guitar pokes fun but is also a real thing of beauty. Bernie is a master guitar maker. Several of my friends play Lehmann guitars and I always wanted to have one in my collection," said Wiesenthal. "The problem is that whenever I go to Bernie's shop, we can never get any work done because we end up in tears laughing." In addition to his serious classical, acoustics and lutes, Lehmann has created several hilarious instruments: two dreadnought guitars joined by one neck; a water-powered electric guitar; a guitar that is part telephone with a dial in the sound-hole (for the musician with a message) and now, the Flamingo Guitar.

*waves to Kaimi*

Elora's description of her breakfast sandwich sounded tasty, and I was commenting on the fact that Elora was able to use a neighbor's (with his permission) unsecured (i.e., there is no password required) wireless network to get to the internet. I'm always amazed to find that people do not put a password on their home wireless internet connection.

EDIT: LOL...I hadn't noticed the "88,888" post, and that's why you were saying "huh?" . Sheesh, I'm such a goof. :o :p
