Were it my desire to be a "lady," as you put it, I could, and would be. That I consciously reject that kind of label is made VERY clear in the way in which I dress, speak, and comport myself. I don't give people the "option" of who I am: I express it.

When I express my self-determined identity through clothing, language, and deportment, I am narrowing the range of meanings that can be imposed upon me, just as any language user restricts the semantic possibilities through her or his choice of words and syntax.

You can certainly "misread" me, or even fantasize about what I mean. But that doesn't make me what you imagine.

I do blame myself. For letting you finally get to me. I don't know why you've ramped up and gone on this scorched earth campaign, lashing out at everyone, causing some who can't resist you to continue to put fuel into the fire, and frankly I don't care. Sracsm, snarkiness and all that has always been something I enjoyed, and you've always pushed it to the edge. But now you just seem to be bitter and mean. As a member of this community, you have every right to say what you want, just as everyone else does and I have the right to not want to be a part of it anymore. Instead of ignoring you, and several others here, I will just remove myself from these proceedings. This bickering just makes everyone involved seem petty and small, and it hurts to watch.
