Many years ago my aunt was drunk driving and killed a kid. This was probably like 40 years or more ago I'd say. The judge just sent her home with her four children as she was a widow. Amazing how much has changed since then. Eh just off topic tangent there.

/me sighs......Why? Why must people do stuff like this.?

I'm tired. I think I'll just beat the rush and move on out ahead of closing day. I'll be across the street or in the blog if anyone needs me.

Congrats!

It canot be changed by whatever miracle of technological deviance causes posts to mysteriously disappear. :D
That doesn't actually make much sense, Amaranthim.

Hey there, Scylla! Nice to see you in this neighborhood.

She only came because I told her not to. :p

Ok, . . . can I take my hands out of the air, then? :D
You aren't still waiting for me to tell you what to do again, are you?

An ex-friend of mine got two years for the same thing.

Pep (I was astonished at the lightness of the sentence.)

Nooooooo! WRONG!

I came to raspberry you. Because I don't think you get nearly enough of them.

Do I detect a logical inconsistency? I thought that only reverse psychology worked on me?

Game theory requires a mixed strategy in almost all non-zero sum games.

Pep (It's the result that matters, not what you do to achieve it: Machiavelli, effectively.)

PS Expect a PM imminently from a senior representative of the Non-Existent Clique, instructing you to stop quoting me.

I am pleased to hear about the left-right business, though. It's a relief (to have an excuse).

.

It's an advantage, actually. Because we can't tell left from right, it doesn't matter which way we go, we are always correct. Men, on the other hand, DO know left from right, and thereby take wrong turns and get lost. And then never ask for directions.

Men never get lost when there are no women in the car to confuse them.

Pep (But you wouldn't know about that, would you?)

I hope you don't mean for good.

Can't blame you.

I was thinking of asking Lord Sullivan about an undying thread at slapt, but I'm not so sure it ought to be replicated.

Not just for how the past couple days have been, but also because this is likely a confluence of many things... might not even BE repeatable.

My best friend and I had a word-association game we used to play in high school built around people's names. At one time we played it every day. I never could play it with anyone else but her.

But that's fine. It made it special.

Maybe this thread is better to just remember, than to try to continue somewhere else with different people.

You couldn't be more wrong.

Ohhhh . . .

But it's ok to quote YOU, right? :)

(Apparently Pep will NOT be getting paid to attend this particular dinner party?)

May I use this as an example of "feminine logic"?

It's more like an Irish bull. -- I meant what she said, not what you said.

Proof or it never happened.
Paid to stay away... now that I might believe.
Restraining order? Sounds even more likely.

Denial is obviously not just a river in Egypt in your case, Eli. :p

Pep (It must be terrible having such an inferiority complex; how do you live with yourself? I presume no-one else does. )
