Teen Andrew Dahl set an arcane world record today on the television show Live with Regis and Kelly. Starting before the show, Dahl started blowing up balloons with his left nostril, continuing for the next hour, hoping to beat the existing 213 balloon record. On finishing, Guinness World Records judge Stuart Claxton announced Dahl had "literally blown the record away", blowing 308 balloons in the 60 minute span. All balloons had to be at least 8 inches wide when blown, and could only be blown with one nostril; Dahl chose his left nostril. Um....I got nuthin' to add. I'm blown away. ![]() |

Jerboa, i read your weekend plans and wondered what variety of orchard you have... ![]() predominately cortland and macintosh. Some other varieties thrown in such as Ida Reds, and Ginger Golds. _____________________

Hey, just so you know... I blew away my blog. I'm not going to do it anymore.
It was fun, and the traffic was surprisingly good, but I just can't use my family as fodder. Even if it's therapeutic for me, it's potentially pretty bad for them. Even if I've scrambled up the big picture, the details are too precise, and sooner or later someone's going to recognize somebody. Anyway... Hope this isn't a downer for anyone. It is a little for me, but I won't be down long. I am still bummed about things not working out with Smith, but that's all my fault, just for the record. /me looks around for coffee and goes to get some . _____________________

Treasure it would be SO COOL if all three of us could get together. I would love that. Wait a sec. You and I are both here now. I'd love to have lunch with you anytime. That would be great, let's plan it! Don't know why we haven't done it before. I think you've said before that you're in PB; I live in South Bay but work downtown; so maybe best to do it on a weekday, we could meet halfway between downtown and PB. I have a business lunch next Wednesday, other than that, I'm free. I love rl meet ups. ![]() |

I'll miss it, very much. _____________________

Wear Gray for a Day in SL, in support of Brain Cancer Awareness
![]() My grandma was one of 17 kids and she was tough too. Used to make my dad and his brothers cut their own switches and the punishment was worse if they didn't bring back a proper one. When I was 10 or so, all the family had gathered for my uncle's wedding and 2 male cousins had locked myself and a female cousin in a closet in the basement, then proceeded to throw those popper firecrackers at us through the gaps at the top and bottom of the door. When my grandmother found out, the boys were unable to sit at the reception. =^.^= |

A Hotel On Boardwalk
09-18-2009 07:49
Well, Pep will have a field day with this one...
Last night, I became a landlord again. In fact, I now own just a bit more land than I did back when I decided to get out of Mainland while the Adult Content fiasco played out. What can I say? Prices were down, and I found a lovely home parcel. Then prices dropped some more, and the hotel next door to me went on the market. It's a great build (congratulations, Avion!) and I didn't want to see someone move in next door, raze it, and put up some huge tasteless piece of crap. So I bought it myself. The Masocado Hotel is under new management. Once I get things under some semblance of control, I'll invite everyone over for a little party. _____________________
