From: Tod69 Talamasca Sad news in RL..... I'm getting reading glasses. Havent worn glasses since I was 8!! 32 Years without 'em and now I need 'em again. The Eye Doctor mentioned I'd need bi-focals eventually. I said "In 20 years?" He said "More like 5" On the bright side, I didnt have to pick those GAWD AWFUL THICK PLASTIC Frames I had when I was a kid!! No Head Strap either!!! Went for a nice, round-ish wire frame. I've had to wear glasses or contacts almost my whole life...but until recently, I've always been correctable to 20/20 or better. Now it's cataracts. Soon, I will have to have new lenses implanted. They tell me that the result might be good enough to let me do without corrective lenses, especially if we "tweak" it with lasik. But I'm still scared. Loss of vision, loss of memory...those are the two things I fear most. And they both run in my family.

We have been visited by the Censor Fairy- [not meant to be derrogatory to any fae creatures- any depictions of fae, living or living (immortal magic things, you know) in such light, should considered purely coincedental]. There is some pathetic little troll thing running amok out there. For a minute he really upset me because he implied i was making light of nazism. Then having placed on Ignore i am happily scanning thru other things and wiggling my butt at Damien somewhere but he must not be paying attention 'cause he didn't comment - darn - waste of a good butt wiggling!

Hi Damien1 Thought I'd answer you in this tread instead - I was afraid of being ARed for not staying on topic. It's nice to see all of you, too.

Howdy folks!!!! I was going to lurk a bit, then slink back to work, but a certain post has forced me to reply. First off very quickly. (From memory so apologies if I miss anyone). Welcome new girl. Awesome flower pics as always. The duct tape cat is just too weird. Bacon and heart shaped waffles, YUM. Cool class trip. Glasses, UGH, this may be the year I give in and have to get some. I love the T-shirt logo idea. Phew! And now last but definately not least. /me catches his breath, clears his throat, and turns toward Brenda. "Hey, how you doing"

Thank you for all the butt pinches and wolf whistles. Nice to see Izzy back on this side of the street. I have my burger medium, no cheese, extra pickles.

From: Brenda Connolly Not bad Jer. He's really very good, isn't he? From: Elora Lunasea Good morning from overcast NJ. Well, yesterday was interesting. Got a call from the accountant from my old job. Seems he has a client who is losing their Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper end June and he recommended me for the position. They are very interested in meeting with me, since they are an architectural office as well and with my well over 20 years experience in that field, I'd be a perfect match. So, I emailed my resume to the woman this morning and await her reply to set up an interview. Holy smokes, I didn't expect something to crop up this fast, let alone this good a match for me. Guess today is being spent at the mall searching for an interview outfit. Thankfully, he told me they are a "casual" office as far as everyday wear, so I won't have to waste too much dough on a lot of corporate clothing. Oh and get this. Their office is literally like 300' from Ghosty's office If I get the job, we can have lunch together in the park on nice days- woohoo! Well, that's *if* his job ever allows him an entire hour for lunch (he does get paid for it if he doesn't take the full hour at least). Anyway...off to the usual which means not around here again for the most part. I've noticed, however, postings seems to have slowed down a bit the past few days. I suppose everyone is busy, so I send out hugs to you all! This sounds promising, indeed. I'll cross my fingers for you. From: Lindal Kidd I've had to wear glasses or contacts almost my whole life...but until recently, I've always been correctable to 20/20 or better. It is a bit scary, isn't it? My memory doesn't work as well as it used to either. My mom was actually still sharper than I when she died a month before her 91st birthday. So I'm taking that as a good sign... She did the crossword everyday; I'm hoping playing around on the computer will help keep my mind alive... Judging by that limerick you're in no trouble. Apparently I have started developing cataracts but won't need to do anything about them for some time - then after I have them removed my eyesight will supposedly be better than it is now - so I'm looking forward to that part anyway.
