heh! Wait'll Sunday ;-)

It looks like work is being done by Michael Linden and Misty Mole on the Hau Koda/Bay City Info Hub. A vintage airport looking place. it does put a small crimp into some of my parade prep plans, but not a major trouble. Good to finally see that hub go in, too.

There were at least 45 newbies there last night. At the infohub. A few seemed pleased when they acquired sight of the blimp. And the . . . um . . artistically displayed . . . use of . . chains. Yes. It was art! *nods* I should know, I'm an artist.

:) Why shore.

Striking pic, but you don't need to be blue.

Pep (It's just as well I am not a fan of spoonerisms :p )

PS Greetings from just outside Denver. My one "personal" day in this mad fortnight. I hope you are all enjoying my semi-absence.

/me wanders in to cartel hangout thread and mumbles "Good morning everybody." Looks at tempting breakfast and decides he has no appetite.

Glances at empty spot where Lil usually stands, then at calendar, and sighs.

Mumbles something unintelligible about low bandwidth hotel internet, underpowered computers, and the attitudes of SL programmers where the devil takes the hindmost.

Wanders off again to sit next to the lake and pretend to build.
Awwww, poor hon - only another couple of days.

*hugs*

Chicago's female police officers were not allowed to wear uniforms until 1956.

And they had to keep their hands at their sides, I suppose! Or on their heads?

Sad news in RL.....

I'm getting reading glasses.

Havent worn glasses since I was 8!! 32 Years without 'em and now I need 'em again.

The Eye Doctor mentioned I'd need bi-focals eventually. I said "In 20 years?" He said "More like 5" :(

On the bright side, I didnt have to pick those GAWD AWFUL THICK PLASTIC Frames I had when I was a kid!! No Head Strap either!!!

Went for a nice, round-ish wire frame.

Hee! That would probably the Moose Beach hub. They're getting a double helping of noobs right now, I believe. Soon it'll be split between the two locations. I hope.

So far my attempts to reduce in-world spending by getting rid of my rental has not gone very well. But my clothing collection is blossoming! I currently have 22 favourites on xstreetsl to go buy, all of which are complete outfits, and many of those with options. Help!

Ha! I don't actually pay for things there. I use it to find the stores. That way, I can find other things to buy as well!

Don't feel bad. I recently joined the bifocal brigade. The new non lined bifocals aren't bad at all, although I do find myself looking over them as much as through them.

I had 5 or 6 Bay City locations at one point. 3 were near that beach, I think. 2 adjacent, 1 across the street. 2 others were across from the asylum.

I have worn glasses since i was a kid- in the 80's it was those huge frightening fly-eye things with an attempt at a farah fawcett haricut -lol- the old pix scare me too! Eventually i discovered contacts and have been happy ever since... then - about two three months ago- I discovered my arms were not long enough- so.. I either push the rl sliders out a bit and let my knuckles drag the ground or I will have to break down and get reading glasses- argh :(! Thank goodness they invented hair dye!

OMG this thread is hilarious! All this time I've been so obedient and just ignored it.

How was I to know it's where the cool kids hang out?
