Away from all living sight,
One born of the night,
Silently emerges into the light.

@Madhu -- HAPPY B-DAY. I had sadz that I had to miss the party. I cannot do large gatherings on this stupid laptop at all. Hell, I can barely even do SL - I crash way too often.
:(

Hope your trip to Vancouver's going well...in spite of your laptop / SL woes.... *hugs*

Oh, Lexxi, it's times like that which make SL so special. At the risk of raising possibly false hopes in the SLoap Opera, I may have a resolution to this situation in the works, but I'm not sure right now. Jackie

This is why I laugh whenever someone quotes from Wikipedia:

omg...priceless. Thanks, Oryx. :)

Hey...did either of those links from yesterday work for finding open source accounting software?

I didn't catch the links but I did download GnuCash, which looks like it will work just fine. What were your links? I'll check them out!

@ 3Ring - Condolences on having to leave Caledon (and yes, I *am* a crow at times!)

@ Lexxi - Yes, that's a painted skin. It's by Alpha.Tribe. Anyway, here's the SLurl:

http://slurl.com/secondlife/Klein/46/99/56

And I always love/am inspired by your pictures!

@ Amar, Malia, Kaimi, and Mo: Thank you! :)

@ Gabriel: Gorgeously dark! I appreciate your aesthetic. :)

@ Oryx: Fantastic idea!

Did anyone else watch the Space Shuttle launch yesterday? It went so well! For me it was a bittersweet viewing, as hubby and I were booked to attend in person and had to change our plans at the last minute. :( Oh well, hopefully STS 128 will be as glitch-free!

I already have OpenOffice but didn't see an accounting section in it. Maybe I'll look again. I'm a strong believer in "don't pay Microsoft anything ever, if possible."

Oryx, I like your new blue avatar -- well not so new now. I just never got a chance to jump in and say I noticed. It looks very different but still recognizably you. Most strange that we can get so much individuality out of so few sliders.

Though I work closely with three people from India at the office I am remiss in knowing very little about the culture. I just know that the blue is very soothing.

what narcissistic person wouldn't want to be? sure, throw me in. :p

Some people just don't understand what I mean by "throwing it in" because I write like a maniac. And, I'm not selling them but posting all the lines I write in the book onto my blog / website.

And to clarify, the community should (by residents and or lindens) might feel the way I apply creativity.

:) I agree. I own 7 or 8 different blue skins. I also have purple, silver, gray, and gold, but for some reason blue is my favorite. And thanks. :)

I may have created a monster. There's been a mountain of interest in the parade. It's gonna be wild. Floats, horsies, a couple marching bands. Yikes! :)

Mari, I may have missed it, but did the Cartel ever decide to do a float/parade entry?

Blue is the Hindu color of sainthood. Lord Krishna is usually portrayed with blue skin. It does look great on Oryx.
