@Jackie -- Hugs hon, sorry to see you go. Maybe things will work out so that you can come back sometime.

@Elora and Ghosty - Welcome home, great pics.

@Amara -- Let me know please if you find anyone that knows anything about that product.

Rainy overcast gloomy looking day here in Vancouver.

/me waves to Elora!

Welcome back! Glad you had a great time.

And thanks for the pics. They're exactly what I needed today.

*dreams of a tropical paradise*

Thanks for all the "welcome homes" everyone!

I quoted Jerboa's specifically, because during the whole trip Ghosty kept saying we need to move to an island, or at the very least, near the ocean lol. See, he used to live in St. Croix for a few years, both of us lived in Florida (although we equally hated being there at the time - sorry Amara!). I have frequently found myself living very close to water during my lifetime in general. However, during this trip we both realized how much we miss this atmosphere, even as much as I complain about the summers when I'm in the midst of it. Each night at sea, we slept with the balcony door open, so we could have the sound of the waves lull us to sleep (the rocking of the boat helped as well). We don't remember sleeping so well in a very long time.

So, who knows. He keeps trying to convince me to up and move "somewhere" - he has that kind of bug in him, whereas I'm a lot more stable, like my roots close to family, and don't like taking too many chances. But, perhaps he *might* be able to convince me down the road to move someplace warmer and more scenic, if we could find a place where getting a job is a possibility - Bermuda is NOT it, that much we know. It has very strict laws about allowing foreigners to work there, let alone live there. You can't even become a citizen unless you marry a native and remain married for 10 years. And it's mad crazy expensive to live there as well - average price of a home is $1.4 million, average rent they said was $3000-$4000 a month and many people need to work 2-3 jobs to be able to afford their lifestyles, minimum lifestyles mind you

Two more things:

@ Treasure - Got your PM, thanks so much for your wishes!

@ Jackie - So sorry that you are leaving, in the short time you've been with us, you've become part of the "family" - be well, and we'll save a seat at the table for you if you ever decide to return :)

Thanks for the update, Mari. I'm sorry to hear about the Livingtree vendor problems. :(

Thanks. They are all back up and running, and working fine. No worries, now. I'm more worried at this point about seeing the L$ recovered and this issue not further impacting the island's earnings.

From: someone
Um...so I wonder if Johnny thinks he's asked you already? You might want to have one of your friends talk to one of his friends to see if he thinks what you think. That's how these things are done, as I understand. :D

I might hafta do that, cuz th' friend who tole him he should ask me is a friend of mines who know I was wondering if he was gonna ask me, cuz that is how that works, I tink.

From: 3Ring Binder
holy toledo! i am so glad you are getting that worked out!

totally cute! your bike just cracks me up! :D

i do love this pic. and i can't wait to go see that myself!

Thankoo. The bike was my rezday gift from Johnny, who makes bikes. It's pretty wild, but perfect for parades an stuff :-)

There's a few cool little things on that island. Good for the photos, though a bit of a jumble on long shots.

So...ARE you going to the school prom with Johnny? You didn't happen to indicate your answer one way or the other...;)

Thank you again for all the pics. :) The uniforms look great; the pic of *ahem* you and Johnny on your boat ride was a lovely one. And seeing the "el Fuego" pics reminds me that I have that in my inventory, too!!!

Well, I dun got an answer cuz he ain't totally asked me. But I can prob'ly ask a friend, like up above.

Glad ya liked all the piccies. :-D

is this something i should be worrying about?
From: Marianne McCann
Friday inworld was not really a lot of fun. Nothing like getting a panic call asking me to pull every vendor in Livingtree due to an exploit. I'm *not* going to go into detail on that for obvious reasons, but it was due to some outdated vendor code that someone(s) learned to bypass

Not likely. Was an issue with some outdated vendors that were fixed by their creator well over a year ago. Unfortunately, we'd not known of any update for the vendor in question.

@ Mari: You are WAY too young for a boyfriend, young lady. I'm going to call his parents and give them an earful.

@ Brenda: LOL - I emailed that commercial around. Loved it; I'd totally buy furniture there just for the ad.

@ Jackie: Things will shake down and settle. When they do, come back to us!

@ Elora: Looks like paradise! Glad you had a good time. :)

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday. I took my mom to a buffet at the Tuscan Brio. Well they had these shrimp and crab cakes to die for. But everytime we would go up to the buffet they were gone. We mentioned it to our server and next thing we know he started bringing them 4 & 5 at our table. Then another server did the same thing. Then OMG the executive chef cooked up some special for us and a divine sauce over them. So YUMMY!!!

Then my mother whispers to me, I bought a ziplock bag. I was like no you didn't then kinda sorta fussed at her about that. You should've seen me trying to scoot them in the bag along with those jumbo shrimp. But I tell you, those shrimp and crab cakes tasted wonderful this morning over with a egg and english muffin.

I told Will about it and he was like I can see you now getting banned out of the restaurant for doing that. I told him that's nothing, you see me get a few steaks, bake potatoes and ribs. Its all about skills.!!

OK, now I know I am not the only one that has done this before.

Good story, Sable.

I'm sure the sign said "All You Can Eat", not "All You Can Eat, Right Now Right Here". :D

Larceny *and* corruption, sable? This is supposed to be a PG forum and you are admitting to these things, and if no-one else speaks up they will be implicitly condoning illegality.

To all my friends here, some of you know already that I am leaving SL, probably forever. I can honestly say this, however, that if Adult Content were segregated from Mature and PG and had it been possible to introduce a particular person to SL in a PG/Mature setting I would not be leaving. Couple this with the ravings in the popular press about SL being only about sex, it creates an untenable personal situation for me. I will miss you all very much. Jackie.

Jackie, I didn't know you were leaving, I'm so sorry to see you go. I'll be hoping you can work through your RL issues and come back one day. All my best, Allie

Wow!

Um...how does it make the objects inside the containment area, like the trees and the teahouse?
