Good morning everyone!

Thanks for the update, Mari. I'm sorry to hear about the Livingtree vendor problems. :(

Um...so I wonder if Johnny thinks he's asked you already? You might want to have one of your friends talk to one of his friends to see if he thinks what you think. That's how these things are done, as I understand. :D

As far as me. My concert last Friday went well, even it wasn't well attended. I was expecting a much larger crowd than we had. Ah well, for those who showed up, I think we gave a pretty decent show.

Until the police arrived! :D While we were breaking down after the concert, a police car pulled up and wanted to know what we were doing...late on a Friday night...taking large amounts of equipment out of the school. "Erm..well you see officer..."

To all my friends here, some of you know already that I am leaving SL, probably forever. I can honestly say this, however, that if Adult Content were segregated from Mature and PG and had it been possible to introduce a particular person to SL in a PG/Mature setting I would not be leaving. Couple this with the ravings in the popular press about SL being only about sex, it creates an untenable personal situation for me. I will miss you all very much. Jackie.

Good morning Threadies,

I had a great time in sl Saturday. Will and I went to the Moulin Rouge and they were doing the stage play Chicago! I must say it was very impressive. The singing, the costumes, the background setting and very minimal lag. It was very outstanding. Too bad they won't run it for a week, I guarantee anyone that likes musical plays you have loved it. :D

Friday inworld was not really a lot of fun. Nothing like getting a panic call asking me to pull every vendor in Livingtree due to an exploit. I'm *not* going to go into detail on that for obvious reasons, but it was due to some outdated vendor code that someone(s) learned to bypass -- and in the process managed to take most of Livingtree Island's tier for the month. Definitely a trying day. On the plus side, LL acted quickly, and will be doing what they can to help us recover the L$ in question. Kudos to Molly Linden an Patch Linden for the help.

holy toledo! i am so glad you are getting that worked out!

Good morning Threadies! Back yesterday from our vacation, which was truly wonderful. Great weather (or at least once we got away from the NYC area anyway), fantastic food and service (for the most part), friendly people in Bermuda and Ghosty and I found out that living in a small (albeit luxurious box) for a week didn't lead to any desire to escape from each other. Just the right amount of relaxation and pampering with a bit of activity inbetween. For the most part, we opted to ignore much of the kitch factor entertainment-wise (lounge acts, magic shows, etc.) and the only extravaganza we attended was a Bollywood take-off which was worth going to. Sort of a cross between Cirque du Soleil and Slumdog Millionaire, if you can imagine that :p Hit the casino once (lost, natch, but not too much), went to the spa (stunning!) and spent much time napping while on sea :D

Once we docked, went on two snorkeling tours; one a glass bottom boat so you also got to see what was happening below as you were taken to the reef (sea turtles out there) and the other, brought you to a private beach island. This worked out quite well for me, as I was having some problems with my shoulder and snorkeling was out for me that day completely so one of the crew members was kayacking those who were not snorkeling out from the boat, to the beach. Very nice way to spend an afternoon, since only about 6 of us were actually on the small strip of pink sand (Ghosty, was in the water). Spent one day in the city of Hamilton shopping, took a horse drawn carriage ride through the back streets (pricey, but romantic), had some lunch and caught the ferry back. Did some shopping at Kings Wharf where we were docked where I purchased a ridiculously expensive blown glass parrotfish since I saw the artist making it from scratch and Ghosty shot a video of it happening

All in all, it was a wonderful way to spend a birthday. Ghosty got me many gifts, one very meaningful and way more than I expected, and surprised me but good. My sisters had the stateroom decorated with banners and streamers and had a cake delivered to the room as well. We were given a complimentary bottle of wine one night, chocolate covered strawberries another, and another voucher for another cake, but who needed it, really? We never finished the cake as it was, that thing could have easily fed 12.

So, now we're home, and I have to get cracking on looking for a job. Blech. But, here are some photos of our trip, just a few. Anyone interested in the whole boring lot of them can find Ghosty and I on Flickr (don't know if his are up yet). I'm splitting these into two posts.

I had no idea (no surprise there, sheltered, I am) and I am SO sorry........I know what you mean about media ravings, but also know, as I'm sure you do, that one can 'go there' or not, your choice......as I mentioned in another thread, I have *never* walked up unexpectedly on Adult Content that I didn't already expect to be there. To look at it another way though, you kind of become jaded to it and after awhile don't even notice it.

I don't understand all of your post, of course, but at any rate am sorry you're leaving, you've been a breath of fresh air and it's been fun to see SL through your eyes......Godspeed, be safe, Jackie.....
