today i found out that i won't be starting my new job until next year. my immediate boss complained about losing me. as honored as i am that they 'need' me, i am not happy that's she's bullied yet another decision maker. :mad:

in the restaurant industry though, it is well known that most ppl will say it is fine, then never return. obviously there will be people willing to complain. i preemptively complain! but the majority do not.

I have, and would say it tasted like crap. or more politely that it tasted like undercooked meat or shoe leather depending on what had been expecting and what wanted at time.

I would not say it tasted ok, or fine, or good, or whatever.

Then again I have limited, few, disappointingly small social skills.

Lexxi - boiled down it seems to be another bit of social grease societies develop to keep from tearing each others arms off and beating themselves to a blood pulp. LIke, 'Honey does this dress make my butt look big?" 'Honey' knows if he says yes he will be sleeping on the couch if he's lucky - so he lies and says, "oh no, you are gorgeous in it!" She knows she isn't or wouldn't have asked, she knows he knows and is being polite, he knows she knows he is lying but everyone wants to hold up their side of the farce so he doesn't have to sleep on the couch and she doesn't have to exit the room crying. More marriages would end in bloodshed if we had not developed our own brand of this - regardless of what we call it.

Just a concept and a window into another culture that does resonate a bit with Western society if not exactly- goes to show we are more a like than different - except for that whole Elvis thing...

I see Love was the 66,666th poster. Hats off to her. Ughhhh rain predicted with thunderstorms starting at 10 am my time. I'm going to attend a musical tonight and its going to be raining then. :(

Oh well, I telling myself enjoy it now because when July hits we going to be begging for it.

I am offended by the offended people- i think i shd get some sort of government assistance to deal with the repercussions of me being offended. There should be some petition or committee investigating how to get around the whole offense thing-


In seriousness though- why would the Israelis be offended byt the word swine? Should we wipe out the whole porcine family to avoid offending people that consider them unclean? Congrats Love on the 66,666 post! A most fitting recipient of the honor, next to Damien of course :D I was actually awake last night at that hour, didn't realize how close we'd gotten to the coveted number or I would have logged in.

Thanks for breakfast as usual Mo but the pickles on that cold cut platter have to go :( Way to early for that.

In fact, yesterday I stopped for breakfast at one of my local bagel places - the only one where I can get real belly lox, the salty kind that I grew up eating, not Nova, which is mild. Anyway - the guy behind the counter asks me if I want the potato chips and pickles with it. I was puzzled being it was like 9;30 in the morning. Seems what I ordered is frequently considered a 'sandwich' so they throw them in, if desired.

Somehow, chips and pickles that early in the morning with a cup of coffee was not appetizing. I'm pretty sure, it's not me :p
