Thanks for the libations, Mo. Well, lemonade... not today, heehee. In the midst of our frantic scurrying to get everything filed and/or extended, fees paid, distributions distributed, etc. our email server bit the dust, so we've all been running around like the proverbial chickens. I'll take three each of the margueritas though! :D

And they aren't even keeping a lot of the Post Offices open until Midnight this year.

The irony of rushing to pay a Treasury Department run by an admitted tax cheat. Only in America, folks.

What are you bitching about? You will have that extra $13 bux not being taken out of your paycheck every week! Now you can buy groceries! (Set aside the tax on it though, 'cause it's additional income....)

Don't be such a radical :p

Oooh, look at the time. Time to get ready to go have $200 worth of scotch and finger food.

*Wonders if she can figure out a way to write of the $200 she spent on her dress and shoes as well.

According to Homeland Security, all single-issue voters, such as those concerned about abortion, or gun control, or illegal aliens, or gay marriage, are "right wing radicals" and are being considered a threat to national security. I'm dead serious, it was in an official report. Right-to-lifers are now right up there with the KKK.

It's amazing how liberals shout about "freedom of speech" until someone starts opposing them. Then it's personal attack time. Well, to be fair, it's not ONLY liberals. Lots of foolish people on both sides of the fence.

The Tea Party movement is impressive because it started from nothing. No political party, no professional spin doctors. Just a ground swell of people who have one thing in common: a shred of common sense that tells them we can't keep spending money we don't have and expect there to be no consequences down the road.

can i get an AMEN to that, sister!

@ Brenda - Las Vegas question.

Have you ever stayed at Harrah's? My best friend is throwing herself a 50th in Vegas in a few months, and he decided that Harrah's is the hotel she'd like us all to say in (group of the girls going to all meet up there for a long weekend). I've only stayed at the Venetian - yea, I know, hoity-toity, sue me - we'd gotten amazing deals on it every time we went :p Anyhoo, I'm still debating if I'm going in general, but trying to find out if Harrahs is decent or not.

Any idea? Or anyone else of course :)

Never stayed in Harrah's. I usually stay at The Flamingo or at my one week a year timeshare. I go to Harrah's a lot though, it is right up the street from Flamingo. They have a Ghirardelli Chocolate shop there and a great lounge with dueling piano's. I don't see staying there as a bad idea. I had a great night there on the craps table a couple of years ago. Put $500 down at 10PM and finally walked away from the table at 4:30AM with $1500.

Well don't expect it to be the Venitian. I have only gone to Vegas twice, first time was the Venitian, second time the Mirage. Granted, the Mirage was much cheaper, but there was no comparison between the two places. Harrah's is a much older hotel, but I have never seen the rooms.

check out the Texas Station also (maybe not for lodging although that is fine too, but for "other entertainment" if you are seeking a small drive). it has a small casino no where near the strip, but has a movie theatre and dinner buffet to die for.

and you have to have the Arizona Charlie's $1.99 breakfast. plenty of food and not bad for the price. just don't order any drinks (bring your own). they cost $2.50 each and raises the $1.99 breakfast to $8.50 in a mad hurry. and the food's not that good for $8.50. LOLOL

Damn there's a lot of typos in my original post - I hate this freaking laptop, all the keys keep sticking and I have to press so hard on some of them, I just can't be bothered any longer.

I've been to the Ghiradelli's - who wouldn't! It's wierd that I never walked into the casino, because I've been in just about all of them at least to see what they look like (I like The Flamingo alot, all the birds!). Probably wouldn't be bad, at least it's well located. I'll have to take a look at the rooms - no way in hell I'm sharing one at this age :p

Evening everyone. I'm afraid I happily settled my tax bill back in February. I figure I spent 10 years making my livelihood from the Federal taxes. The least I can do is my civic duty to support those who are in the position I was then. :)

I'm glad those of you who went enjoyed the tea demonstrations today. The pictures I've seen have been....interesting...
