/me hugs Tod - It may sound Polyanna-ish- but things will get better. You can only help someone so far. To try to do more and more- doesn't help them, it enables them to fail because someone is there to pick them up. She isn't a baby - she will sink or swim on her own.
Now take some alka-seltzer for the hangover and go outside and breathe a bit of newness into your life.

Wow...what roller coaster you've been on these past months. You've had a rough year...and perhaps what you need is a bit of time to yourself, with your own company. By that I mean...don't go looking to get involved with anyone right now! And for goodness' sake, let your ex go. She's not ready, and may never be ready, for what you're looking for in life.

So, take this new found time to enjoy your own pastimes...do stuff with your friends...hey, the spring weather's gorgeous today (it looks like it's going to be a beautiful day in your neck of the woods) - get out and enjoy it!

Normally, I would go out hiking or canoeing... today, I have to finish doing my taxes, which is why I'm procrastinating by playing online.

I went to a sandbox this afternoon - not one of the ordinary public free-for-all ones, but a private one offered for the use of all of us out of the goodness of the owner's heart.

But when I got there I was given a notecard full of a long list of rules and regulations.

One of the first things the notecard said was words to the effect: 'If you don't speak English, don't come here because you wouldn't understand the rules'.
So much for SL being a cosmopolitan environment!
