The snow's stopped and already melted :( now it's just cold and looks like it's been raining.

Piccie from my window...it's a bit fuzzy, cause it's through a window taken on my phone, wish I could get a decent clear piccie, I love the view at night. I need to find my decent camera in the boxes and take a better pic.

The tallest building you see, right at the back with the red lights....that's the Hilton Hotel.

Growing up in Missouri, I saw two up close and personal, and three others that hit my town.
Missouri is where I grew up also. My most vivid tornado memory was watching one twirl down the center of the street as it took out every third or fourth house and left the rest. Thought I was scared to death, I was also mesmerized -- I remember being just so amazed at the randomness of it.

Not bad, if you get rid of the Chow Mein (heinous but I guess they need something for the tourists hehe).

The town I live in now, has awful Chinese. The one I just left, had one of the best in NJ. Very disappointing since it's a mainstay of my food experience since my childhood. Growing up in Brooklyn and having access to NYC Chinatown dinners, you get to know your stuff. I know good from bad and thus far, it's been average at best.

Even worse? Can't find one that delivers. When it's 12 degrees out and you want a cup of Hot and Sour soup, trust me, you do NOT want to walk even 3 blocks to go get it

I stopped by the hangout over my lunch hour...neat place, and yes I met Rob and said Hi....I'm pretty sure the last place I saw him was at the bottom of the lake....I took a short ride in the boat(hope you all don't mind), but couldn't tell for sure if it was him. I hope he's okay....

Claire is not a texture thief?

Jesus that is not what I mean, stop jumping to conclusions!

I meant that if she got it elsewhere then someone did a good copy, no where did I accuse Claire of being a texture thief

now I know why I tend to avoid this thread most of the time

A Chinese place that does not deliver? Isn't that unconstitutional or something?

I feel for you - Chinese food is an important part of any diet.

nope, tis the sample one you sent out to the group ages ago. Saw it and realised its exactly the thing I was looking for to go with the look I was trying to create. Thanks! :D

you are welcome and I just want to repeat to you directly I did not think you copied it

as for the comment about no one made a pink bodice before, I was not referring to the fact it was pink and a bodice, but the shading and shine on it...

god why do some people have to be so mean :(

She said that checking the adboard showed her the skybox inside had NO perms (isn't that impossible?!) which is clearly why he didn't get it, but when I checked it had the proper perms.

actually anytime you look at something owned by someone else that is inside a prim, the permissions will show no copy, no mod, no transfer

the only way I know of to check the permission properly, is to look at the properties of the items, and see what the next owner permissions are set to

she probably just looked at them in the prim, and not the properties

Chinese takeout? Is it any good? I've been having a heck of a hard time finding a decent one in RL nearby my house. Virtual is beginning to look like an option ;)

It looked good, but an hour after visiting that build, I was hungry again.

LOL, there's a PacMan game in the laundromat!!

Yup! They actually did a good job of detailing some of those places.

From: Maureen Boccaccio
Thanks - just did so! :) Really amazing, and I took LMs for the different builds still in existence. :)

Cool! I hope some certain others also visit and like what they see. ;-)

FYI...if you've not seen it yet, check out the One Prim Wonders Challenge.

http://slurl.com/secondlife/Caerleon%20Isle/61/194/58

But! In order to see everything...you need to be using the latest viewers. I usually use the KirstenLee one...logged out to log in with the newest RC...and argh!!! Logins were disabled. :(

But finally got back in...and the art is remarkable. And each, as indicated. is only one prim!!!

In Wichita we would go to the top floor, turn out the lights and watch the police cars scream around with full code lights flashing, while we looked for tornadoes on the horizon (and drank beer). The theory was that the ceiling panels would suck up as a warning with enough time to get to the stairwells. Also, something about one of the TV channels getting darker just before...

Anyway, only saw a few and none that big or that close. At least we didn't get in pickup trucks and chase them. And the cool stuff was the green clouds with horizon to horizon lightning.
I lived in Wichita 8 years and saw there everything else that weather can do but never even one tornado. And I can't say I envy those of you who have. Thank goodness you survived! I did go up to the top of the Holiday Inn one time (back then it was the tallest building in Kansas) and watched a truly fabulous lightning storm.

Glad your Monday turned out so well, Claire. :)

Wish we had some snow here... *frowns*
But maybe not until Wednesday;)

From: Maureen Boccaccio
Ohhh, Kaimi. That's a beaut. :) And not only do you have these lovely sunrises....but you can also enjoy the remarkable sunsets over the ocean. :)
Very true.

I think this is a great picture. It's not that easy to get a clear picture of a city after dark with most cameras. It looks like you live close to a park - that must be nice.

Oh Rhaorth, I wish you could assume good intentions of others instead of bad. I'm quite sure that was friendly joshing on 3Ring's part.

I wish I could too, however the history of some people tend to prove otherwise

water under the bridge now, I had my say, claire clarified it was indeed the one I made, all is done

I am happy claire likes it :)

(the angry face in her post, leads me to believe she really thought I was accusing claire of copying it, which is farthest from the truth, which to me, shows what the poster thinks of me, to think I would accuse claire of copying)

If I were to think anyone specifically was copying, I would take it to a private conversation, not directly accuse someone specifically on a public forum
