Hi Nika, /me waves - you were very polite to the intolerant gentleman, btw.

There is no reboot scenario. I can, however, have my CD transferred to a new system somewhere in God's server farm.
Me too.

I saw a tornado at HIP once. The damn thing blasted me 2 sims away.

Saw one in rl once too. That little town still hasn't fully recovered and that was 35 years ago.
I've seen some rain and lightening storms in SL, but not a tornado yet.

Saw way too many as a kid growing up in the Midwest, and a few of them a bit too close for comfort.

Ditto Lil.

Tornados are not fun things when you're watching the roof being ripped off above your head.

In Wichita we would go to the top floor, turn out the lights and watch the police cars scream around with full code lights flashing, while we looked for tornadoes on the horizon (and drank beer). The theory was that the ceiling panels would suck up as a warning with enough time to get to the stairwells. Also, something about one of the TV channels getting darker just before...

Anyway, only saw a few and none that big or that close. At least we didn't get in pickup trucks and chase them. And the cool stuff was the green clouds with horizon to horizon lightning.

Growing up in Missouri, I saw two up close and personal, and three others that hit my town.

Your "visual resume" is really cool; is that a "thing" we can look at somewhere?

It's at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Hundertwasser/163/38/1009 - about 1000 meters over our family home. Yer welcome to take a peek an stuff. :-)

Hah! I chuckled when I got your notice last night about the leash for the invisible dog.

A moment of inspiration, I s'pose, hit me that night. I was looking through some photos of vintage toys, and realized I could put one of those together. The Show and Tell group went nuts over it, though Pandora Wrigglesworth's new hairdo was the big winner (and deservedly so).

A laundromat!!! Do socks get lost here, too? (great pic, though)

Prob'ly. I know I had to deal with inventory transfers going bad there, and losing postcard shots, an other things. Not sure if that was the laundromat or jes SL, though. ;-)

From: 3Ring Binder
Mari, love your piccies. really cute, just sitting there at the laundromat. even little clothes on hangars.

From: Elora Lunasea
@ Mari, as usual fantastic photos. I loved that laundry room set-up also!

Aww, thankoo! That laundromat is in the Kindly sim, right between the Chinese take-out place and the VFW hall. It's the main home of the store "Cluster," which is full of silly, kitschy housewares and fun stuff. Kindly also used to be home of Kindly High School and Kindly State University, school RP places not unlike HardKnock Elementary. :-)

Mari - fabulous piccies. I love your weekends.

I had one of those when I was a kid - the invisible dog

I did too in my first life. Very obedient! :-)

OK, rezzed-out stuff *is* randomly vanishing in SL. I was on the build platform just below our mall a few minutes ago. Someone was in the mall and buying quite a lot of stuff (yay, thanks!) so being nosey I cammed up to see who it was.

I watched as they bought two copies of one of my skyboxes. The ad board was set, as they all are, to sell contents. The second the guy bought the second copy of the skybox, the ad board just completely disappeared from the wall.

As soon as the guy left I went up there and verified that it had completely gone. So I rezzed a new copy, but I think I'm going to start checking up there on a daily basis from now on.

Chinese takeout? Is it any good? I've been having a heck of a hard time finding a decent one in RL nearby my house. Virtual is beginning to look like an option ;)

Hey folks....not a bad monday for me today, which is unusual.
Gave up last night when I got stuck under my house with mega lag....not often I have to deal with that.
Got to college this morning, expecting it to be a long day again...exam n stuff...Got my results from my Chem test and I was one of the only two in the class that passed  he made a little speech at the beginning talking about resits n stuff and had me so worried I felt sick....then gave me my results and I just about collapsed in relief lol.
Math test....was suprisingly simple. Then Blodge was cancelled so I got to come home early! :D

Get home, and it's snowing! It's not sticking, but from this high up, the view is incredible...I'm looking over the city and I can barely see through the flurry of snowflakes. It's pretty cold, but I can deal with that if it stays pretty. lol.

Hope everyone is having a good day :)

Glad your Monday turned out so well, Claire. :)

Wish we had some snow here... *frowns*

@ Elora: Great pics, one and all. :)

I know we've all talked about tornadoes before...(and I see more posts here today). I've only seen a few twisters in my life...but they were "harmless" ones...

I cannot imagine what it would be like to live in Tornado Alley, and having tornadoes be a regular part of your weather pattern.

*hugs anyone who's ever been affected by one*

No, SL is borking again. His partner turned up at the mall because one of the boxed items inside one of the boards (not the one that vanished) didn't get sent to him. He got all the other contents, but not the skybox itself. She said that checking the adboard showed her the skybox inside had NO perms (isn't that impossible?!) which is clearly why he didn't get it, but when I checked it had the proper perms.

Anyway, I sent him a replacement. And I'm still going to keep checking the boards every day in the mall. Oy.
