I won't even pretend in SL but that is because I smoked for 35 yrs (grew up in a rough neighborhood, started at the age of 10) -- have now been quit for 15 months.

fyi...I don't smoke. Hate it actually. There was a pose against a wall there that was an iconic 'smoker' pose. I remembered that my "bad boy" santa costume came with a cigarette, so I wore it for the pic. Back to the beach..... What I want to see is someone apply with a 60 second SL machinima voiced over.

From: Amaranthim Talon And I do believe what we live with in SL everyday is art. I agree. From: 3Ring Binder tobacco kills - ever so slowly and painfully. It's evil. From: LittleMe Jewell I won't even pretend in SL but that is because I smoked for 35 yrs (grew up in a rough neighborhood, started at the age of 10) -- have now been quit for 15 months. From: Ashe1 Writer Forgot the name of that prescription Worked for me, been smoke free for 4 months after smoking for 35 years. Ashe Congratulations! It's a wonderful accomplishment. One of the hardest and very best things anyone can do. From: Konu Magic Congrats. I am a smoker who is trying to quit. Any suggestions? Two important components seem to be 1. Somehow accept and endure the discomfort. 2. Really desire the wonderful end result. I wish I had magic words to help you, Konu. You do have my heartfelt best wishes. Lol. My cats know they aren't supposed to be on the counters - when humans are in the kitchen. I just realized this picture was taken at the vet's. My cats hate going there - they try to slink under the big scales. And Jadzia starts projectile shedding. It's been like summer here this week the high yesterday at 3 PM was 78.1f (25.6c). The low last night at 5 AM was 53.1f (11.7c). Right now it's clear and sunny and warming up quickly.

When does the gorean hunt end? I fizzled half way through. I started unpacking the items, and didn't find much to keep. Is there anything particularly noteworthy in the second half?

TY, I am proud of myself also...really wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Even though I never smoked in the house or car, it is nice not having to step out into horrrid weather for a smoke and the $$$$ factor...have lots of pocket money now Ashe

From: Brenda Connolly I served twice. I figure that's enough. Here in Jersey, you don't even get enough to park your car for the day. I only got called to serve once. Had my boss write a letter stating I it would be a hardship to let me be out of the office for any extended period of time. End of jury duty. That was several years ago and I haven't heard from them since. And yea, NJ is awful for allowances, hence the reason I asked him to do this for me. No way could I afford to lose my pay for even a day. Small company, that couldn't afford to pay me for any extra days out on their own either, I would have had to use vacation days to cover it - NOT.

Good afternoon, or not. Woke up with a migraine, blah. Me and 3Ring and I know a few others of you deal with this and it sure isn't any fun. Slowly getting rid of it, but it's been an unpleasant morning hence me just arriving here. I took this picture at the Hotel Dare about a month or so ago the last time 3Ring was complaining about her headaches. Was going to post it for her but forgot so now I'll take my own advice (which I already did). BTW, the Hotel Dare is now gone, sadly. What a great build/shopping area that was.

I spent a summer working with ambulance crews. 25%-30% of our calls were to people in distress because of smoking related lung problems. A lot of them still couldn't quit. They had an oxygen tank in the corner and a pack of cigarettes on the coffee table. Never being able to take a decent breath of air...

I just got off the phone 5 minutes ago from making an appointment with the neurology department at my hmo to try to get some new ideas for coping with my headaches.

Congrats Lil- been smoke free for nigh on three years now after smoking for about 30 myself From: Konu Magic Congrats. I am a smoker who is trying to quit. Any suggestions? Put them down before they put you down. Husband spent 1 week in intensive care for a stroke almost three years ago- he quit because someone died in the room next to him and he had nightmares that the heart monitor flatlining he heard was his. I had to quit then since it would hardly be fair for him to quit and I keep smoking.

From: Konu Magic Congrats. I am a smoker who is trying to quit. Any suggestions? Get a prescription for Chantix (google it to see how it works). If insurance does not cover it, it will cost you $100-$125 a month, but it is soooooo worth it. I had quit 4 times before, using various methods and never made it past the 6 month point. I truly never think of cigs and the smell of it is actually not appealing this time around -- unlike all of my other quit attempts.

Is there anything particularly noteworthy in the second half? I finished it yesterday, but have not unpacked everything yet. I'll do a quick scan today and let you know if it is worth it. Everything from around 15 or so is just about an entire sim for each stop and the flowers all stay tiny.
