my closet is huge, and i could not possibly fit all my clothes into one closet. but i don't think it's been set up very effectively. we're talking about building cabintry into it to make it more user friendly. my shoe situation is atrocious.

having said that, i don't want to see sweaters in summer. actually, i don't want to see them ever. i hate cold weather! so i stash them in bags n boxes when not needed.

i was made to understand that JW are not supposed to associate with non-JW. so, if your kid leaves the church, you are no longer allowed to associate with them, etc.

if true, very sad that breaking up families is encouraged.

No not quite- it's not a do not associate thing and they do not encourage break up of families- if u get disfellowshipped which is ostracized then those not related to you do not speak to you they do not see you even- it is amazingly disturbing to be victimized like that. But when you admit u were wrong and come back to the fold as it were things are supposedly back to normal- classical conditioning if u ask me- sick and perverted use of power.

I worked with a kid who came from a JW family.

He was the "black sheep" if you wanna call it that- did drugs, drank alcohol, etc.

One day he asked me to come to his house to help him remove his online whereabouts - aka: looking at Porn.

SO! In my gothy-est dress, I went over.

I knocked, he answered.

Then I thought "What Irony!! A JW letting a Catholic in the door!"

I finally figure out where previously visited websites are stored.

I showed him the cache, where all the pics & stuff from the websites are stored.

As we're looking at pics of naked ladies, he says "I never saw those ones. I never even BEEN to some of these sites!!!"

Well, I cleaned it up for him. He got to live at home for a bit longer, till he was 19 & kicked out for selling Oxycontin.

My Mother is a member of group I consider a cult too called the Bahai faith but I guess by many standards it isn't but my childhood was like almost like the kids of the hippie cult group that prostituted out their own children, so I feel for anyone who experienced abuse especially as a child.
It took me long time to pick up the pieces that broke into bits from my childhood.
Holidays are hardest for me, I have few emails now and then from my Mom but we haven't seen each other in years.
I love her but I don't like our relationship and just easier if we aren't in contact.

I have had a really cool SL today- You have encountered my soup bowl thing by now - any one wants one there is a full and empty version on a table by the xmas tree in TF - and I went to the College of Scripting and got spammed unintentionally which sparked conversation which got me a super cool particle emitter creating HUD- and I got a link to a super cool site that explains in terms even a total script impaired person can understand how to tweak a particle script for the wanted effects : http://www.heatonresearch.com/examples/particle/particle.html and I got to see m two favorite gentlemen in SL and I got to hang out with Honey (/me waves) and chatted with 3 and with Love and learned a bunch of cool stuff from the Builder group peeps and went to an odd party like thing and scooted back out asap - too many Spank spam stuff - and now it is almost time to get up so i better go down or i cant get up. I am still not really sleepy but i napped earlier- funny how sleep patterns change when we have unscheduled time. Oh- and made child get on the stick with school work- so- having thus summarized the day... nighters peeps- wishing all well

Unkind comments about another's religion...really not cool. We get read by far more people than who post here...why alienate someone simply because they follow a different belief system? As someone whose forebears were repudiated/discriminated against for their religion, I feel it's a slippery slope.
