I am sorry Maureen I didn't see it, I saw people discussing what it was like to be abused in certain religious families not bashing anyone's religion.
Holidays this stuff comes up for some people, especially survivors of dysfunctional homes regardless of religion.
But sometimes it hard to separate the abuse with the abuser's religion, etc.
I don't personally want insults instant messaged to me, I will ignore them.
I hope you have good day.

Some how seeing this line I am sorry I had non-platonic thoughts, I think I need a some spank stuff too. Can I have it without spam?:) I sort of imagined that commercial I have fallen and I can't get up one with old lady it except my version was younger but in latex with some weird spank device made out of Spam, the better go down maybe better not go there.... LOL

OK...I just literally, laughed out loud. Thanks, FD.

(and when I considered the ramifications of Amara's line about spank spam stuff...my thoughts were non-platonic, too :p )

Me too but it's beginning to drive me nuts.
There nothing like email service that you have to go through every single email to delete it because there is no system to select the all, delete button.
I used aol when I first got my very first computer but it got old fast. I don't know if I will continue even using their free services any more.
Originally I did it for cheap computer still using it too.

Me too, for email. I'm loathe to give up the address that everyone has known me as for 20 years.

/waves good morning to everyone.

Been out of touch again, not inworld alot. Still trying to catch up on putting the apartment together, and enjoying some RL time for a change. Spent yesterday cooking up a storm for the most part in spite of a 3-day neck/head problem (seems to be fine today, thankfully). I kept finding that keeping busy, moving around made it feel better as oppossed to sitting on the couch with the laptop in hand and a heating pad on my neck :( . I decided I need a new couch, the one I have isn't ergonomically correct :p

I am giggling over spanking Spam - or wearing Spam while spanking and or being spanked and just plain giggling. And yeah- I saw the religion stuff same way FD did but what the heck, if it makes Mo uncomfortable to bring it up, I will apologize to make Mo happy, cause a happy Mo is a happy Thread :).

Now off to work- I was bad and went back to bed and now am late- what else is new?

Yes there is. There is a check box that selects all at the top of the email window. Then you can delete them all at once.

Welcome back Elora, hope your neck feels better.
Yeah I had AOL even compuserve briefly over 14 years ago but the spam and all stuff with it began to drive me batty.
There is lot about AOL that is annoying but I forgot when I briefly had services with the over 4 years ago. AOL was great for those needing training wheels but then there were other issues too with the service. I have feeling though with all the things they are cutting back on that they are going through hard times I don't think they will be around another 20 years from now.
/FD imagines Amara wearing Spam fetish wear, giggling, being spanked....lol

Something is terribly, terribly off with my aol security edition computer even with Geoforce 6200 graphic card up grade.
There just things I cannot see on webpages regardless of updating the drivers.
I don't know why.
Literally everything is white, certain data just isn't there.
I am just glad it works as well as it does even after four years.
And I have no money to replace this computer now. A friend while back ago offered to get
me a new one but after thinking of it I just didn't feel right in accepting a gift like that from her.

No way am I going to try to go back since Friday. If there's anything important, I hope ya'll will let me know.

Supposed to rain here today...boo. But, on the other hand, gas is only $1.48/gal...I can't remember when I last saw it that low! Got gas on Friday when it was $1.51, and $25 filled my gas tank....YAY!

Thanks to all who came to my show(s) this weekend!

Good morning Honeybear.
I wonder now that the gas prices are dropping, all those things they said had to increase because of gas prices will go down too?

@ Brenda

BTW, I'm now living a stones throw from Linden of all places and Stashes, the Polish restaurant you told me about ages ago, came up in conversation the other day. Ghosty and I are going to make a point of going over there in the next couple of weeks to try it out. I mean, it's probably like only a few miles or so, that's how close it is :) (although, living that close to Linden, isn't exactly a "bonus" in my book as you would know).

Wow, and to think I was jumping this morning at $1.79/gal. (Ok..I was jumping because it was 9 frickin degrees and windy..but still)

Today's forecast:
Windy with a mix of clouds and sun. Very cold. High 18F. Winds WNW at 15 to 25 mph.

Tomorrow:
Snow showers in the morning will give way to a mixture of rain and snow in the afternoon. Some sleet may mix in. High 39F. Winds S at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of precip 70%. Snowfall around one inch.

Yuck! Either rain or snow..fine...but don't mix 'em! Grrrrr.......

I'm sorry I missed your show, Honey. It's that pesky RL chores thing. (Or as Mari says...the boring place...love that phrase!) Glad things went well though.

Ann, i said 'many' are mean. not all.

Still not remotely true.

Edit: Oh, and sorry it took me a while to respond. The many meanies and I were busy discussing whether to allow those darn gays the same rights as us regular folk...

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Wouldn't count on it. If they did, we couldn't bitch about being in a recession! ;)

Oh I hope you like it. Unless it's changed, it's been a few years since I've been there, you won't leave hungry. It's nothing fancy, just comfort food. I wonder how they are doing, business wise. The GM plant in Linden gave them so much business before it closed. I really should try to get over there.

A couple of my local places are lowering prices, but for the most part I wouldn't expect it either.

The more educated who have read the book might have even more of an insight.

Pep (Not the book of the film . . . )

I've read that book. Just not in the original French.

Sassy Fruit Cake on my SL main ava name
Fuzzy Candy Cane Lips on my most well known other internet name

Silly fun :)

From what I know, it's exactly the way it always was. I belong to a food board/blog and most everyone says it hasn't changed at all in years. I'm looking forward to that type of old fashioned place. I found one of those in town yesterday (I'm living in Rahway now, of all places); a small luncheonette/grill on East Cherry Street (Rahway Grill) that has been there for like 60 years. Kind of place where everyone that walks in the door knows each other and the owners are good friends to the whole neighborhood. Sadly, they said they are about to retire so who knows what will happen to the place once someone else gets their hands on it. It just reeks of old time charm and the food was darn good, exactly what diner food should be, tasty, cheap and served with love in this case :D
