Morning Threadies....having peeked at some of the weekends pages, all I can is "pass" and note that I really need a footrub - dancing at three concerts yesterday wore my poor feet out!

And yes - FM pumps are making a comeback! Woot!

Good morning children of the Thread. :)

Hope everyone has a zippy day!

@Zena: Um..do I have to take back my "Hey, how you doin'?" now?

@Mo: Yummmmm!!!!!

@Amara: Glad you had a good time. Yup...it's the people that have me hooked too (y'all are wonderful! *hugs!*)

@Honey: Huh...those look like comfortable shoes. I bet you could walk all day in shoes like that and not feel a thing.... (ok..one more footrub...for old times sake, you understand. :) )

@Conan: I've kept out of this, but it's time to let it drop. We control our own actions, and what we do/say reveals more about us than who we target our comments at.

Only one more? :(

And while they're comfy for a little while....eventually, they must be flung across the room so I can wiggle my prim toes....see? *wiggles toes*

Hold on there. So it's ok for Tod to retaliate when attacked, but not for me? How does that work?

:D Let's just say that a useful life skill is the ability to distinguish between harmless assaults on one's ego, and real threats to one's safety.
"She just called me a stupidhead! I must destroy her before she destroys me!" Is five year old thinking.
"Next time he starts to shove me into my locker I'm going to shove my fist into his stomach," might be necessary thinking.
"Tomorrow I'm going to fire this assault weapon in a prolonged burst in his direction before he can get close enough to shove me into my locker," is pathological thinking.
Blatantly rude comments about someone's child is attention seeking.

Hi Jerboa & Mo! :-)

That was actually me. I was at a GF's house earlier tonight and (after a glass or three of some strange wine concoction she whipped up in her lab {*coughs...kitchen}) was showing her the Thread. So I saw Jerboa's post and Isabeau's ( HI ISABEAU!!!) and was struck with a funny comment (I've since forgotten it now). So I posted it and realized that I wasn't on my acct but hers. So you'd all be scratching your heads and wondering "who the heck is that (and what are they on) ?".

ok nevermind...let us return to our regularly scheduled fun and frivolity.

:-)

! love you guys! (Group hug!!)
Zena

Zena - you can get into terrible trouble if you log on as an alt account and start confusing people by talking to yourself . . .

Damn, you are good. Very well explained. I know a few people that need that explanation.

Zena was not logged in as an alt, but was simply at the keyboard of her friend's account.

And I would not bet on Conan not previously knowing about Charly. I read many threads that I do not post in. It is possible that others do this too.

It's physically impossible for Conan to read a thread and not say something.

Oh, sure...that's all fine if you only care about the here and now. However, the greatest military tacticians know that as long as your enemy still physically exists, "peace" will ever be nothing but the calm period between the wars. If someone excites my enmity, they must be completely disabled, if not outright obliterated. To do otherwise is to invite a temporary false sense of security, whilst future generations will be doomed to continue to suffer through brutal episodes of patronization, upsetting excuses for humor, and very, very bad puns. Think about the future!

We would probably have less war if those that are started were conducted properly. It's a brutal business, but it should be carried out to it's full objective, which is to bring your enemy to total surrender, if not obliteration. Politicians love to start fights, but don't like to get the dirt on themselves. Especially now, where the first generation of Politician who has never worn the uniform, or have little knowledge of the Military Arts is coming to power.

The purpose of war is to kill people and break their stuff. Don't start a fight you are not willing to finish.

Of course you can also say "He who fights and runs away, lives to fight another day"

Re Pep/Charly - come on- like anyone really needed to wait for him to out himself to recognize his posts. As someone said to me in one of my drive-by alt postings- you could recognize the style easily.

I think we have a general "finger-print" in our writing. It's hard not to be who u are when u write.

To be honest, I hardly ever follow links so no, I haven't seen it. It was the crush them til there's nothing left for them to come back and get you with mentality. In regards to war I mean- among people - individuals - i really have a laissez faire attitude, but if you must go to war make sure "they" no it's no quarter given or taken.
Damn, I'm belligerent lately!
