No thanks, I'm making a Cornish pastie at the moment. Just waiting for the potatoes to boil.

Speaking as an experienced and successful troll myself, I'm going to say ...
We all have our hobbies. I'm sure Conan would be the first to agree that anyone who takes him seriously is endangering their serenity.

He CAN be a good source of recipes when he feels like it. (those pasties, now?)

This is the internet, not real life. Anyone who is offended....well, perhaps the internet isn't for you. Besides, there's no real people here - you're all just text on a screen anyway.

I'm making a bit of a departure from a regular cornish pasty. The modern cornish pasty is basically a very reduced beef stew in shortcrust pastry. Cornwall, however, is not known for it's beef. A traditional Cornish pasty would actually have contained fish, not beef. I like a smooth filling though, rather than a chunky filling. I've mixed some minced beef (browned in a frying pan) with some boiled swede and boiled carrot finely diced in with mashed potato. Simple as that.

With this group?Mo - can you step back in and raise those eyebrows again?

*sighs, plunks down the outrageously cumbersome boxes she has to store...someplace..., strides into the room, takes a sweeping look around the room, leans back against the doorjamb, and smiles.*

Peace reigns in the land. Recipes are being swapped.

*blows a kiss to everyone, turns, and sashays out*

One advantage to having the thread filled up with juvenile sniping (however serious or not): it takes a very short time to get caught up on the thread because I can just skim right over it all....

But the disadvantage: I do have a preference for adult conversation.

Hi, threadies!! Have a lovely Saturday!

/me notices Conan's apparent lack of education and puts him on the list of people with whom he deems it unworthy of further mutual disputation.

Not remotely, Conan. Just stating a preference.

Interesting.

EDIT: You're male? I assumed you were a girl.

/me is absolutely assured that Conan has problems differentiating reality and fantasy now

Pep (And offers the suggestion that he shouldn't make unwarranted assumptions if he wishes his arguments to be taken at all seriously)

Even more interesting. So today we've learned that people who don't like Katy Perry can't grasp the difference between fantasy and reality, and that not realising Pep is male despite being a bitch is an unwarranted assumption.

Good job you're here to set us straight.

Conan (insert inane self-congratulating pap here)

I disagree. When someone wrongs you, you should retaliate. Otherwise they think they can keep doing it.

From years of being the "shortest guy" in school, I have to agree.

Spent many years letting folks in school tease, pick on, and start fights with me. Got tired of it around 16. Started fighting back. BEST therapy EVER!!! ;)

Altho- people should understand 'retaliate' doesnt necessarily mean "beating the crap out of". ;)

Magic! I just won a tenner from Charly as I bet him I could get you to put something in brackets after your name before the weekend was over!

Pep (Something good has come out of your contribution to our dialogue anyway)
