I always wear a bra and panties in SL but I am old school SL. One thing you will never catch me doing is wearing pants under my skirts. I believe they call them glitch pants but I call them skorts and stopped wearing them when I was 10 years old.

I saw you mention this in another thread. Do you wear only system skirts or maybe prim skirts with system skirts under rather than glitch pants under> Though I actually have see a few (very very few) prim skirts that were made such that you really did not need anything underneath, except maybe when sitting in some poses I mostly wear system skirts but sometimes babydoll dresses that fall naturally over my hips and no I do not wear skirts under my skirts. If my panties sometimes peek out I don't lose any sleep over it. The SL skirt industry is mostly nothing but prim skirts over shorts and they all look the same to me. I just don't care to wear them. _____________________

I never where bra's, I have no reason to, there's no gravity in SL unless you choose it.
When I was a newbie my friend told me how he looked up my dress with his camera, I have worn undies ever since lol |

I stopped wearing underwear unless I had a system skirt on and no glitch pants, or I intend to only wear lingerie. In switching outfits, there is not much point, especially if you have to leave off the bra half the time because of whatever else you're wearing.

I hate bras. I rarely wear one in rl. The Brassiere invented by a man! And no my avi doesn't wear a bra. actually it was a woman - http://inventors.about.com/od/bstartinventions/a/brassiere.htm Mary Phelps Jacob had just purchased a sheer evening gown for one of her social events. At that time, the only acceptable undergarment was a corset stiffened with whaleback bones. Mary found that the whalebones poked out visible around the plunging neckline and under the sheer fabric. Two silk handkerchiefs and some pink ribbon later, Mary had designed an alternative to the corset. The corset's reign was starting to topple. As a replacement for the corset it's a considerable improvement in terms of comfort and general health. It's funny how in SL there's been a move back to corsetry. I always hated bras and never wore them til my mid-thirties when everything travelled south. I can see how large busted women would be more comfortable with the support. In SL I rarely wear one, but I have a couple of matching bra/knickers sets which I like. |

I just had a freebie set for a longtime. I just put in my default folder along with one of everything else. Shape hair eyes skin jeans top socks pair trainers and my fav bangle. So whenever I cant be bothered deciding what to wear I just clik and replace all.
One day I came across a pack that was quite nice and affordable so I buy. Was about 9 sets altogether. Was a waste really as after a couple of days I couldnt be bothered again =) I already put the set I liked most into my default folder anyways. So I only ever think about what I got on underneath when it doesnt work with what I wearing on top. And I just take off when that happens. |

Most of my outfits are in folders that contain everything including hairstyle, jewellery etc. I only include what's visble in the folders as there's no point in including other stuff. Like I said in my earlier post, I assume that I'm wearing underwear most of the time even if it's technically not there (which it's not if you can't see it!).
If I'm at an event where someone persuades me to strip down to my underwear, I would replace my outer layer with knickers and possibly bra, depending what I assume I might have on underneath at the time! _____________________

I suspect if a woman (who can do anything (except change wheel bearings ![]() thank heavens for redesign. (ps *I* can change a wheel bearing, but WTF would I when I can have some silly guy trip over himself to do it for me as a favor =P) personally I PREFER corsets in real life, and not those neo-victorian contraptions that attempt to remold you into a barbie doll (with about the same ability to draw a breath) but rather early of mid period versions, properly made.... shame they cost so much =/ _____________________

In RL I have no choice but to, since comfort demands it. In SL it is superfluous and I would only wear it if I actually needed to as in an extremely see thru top in a modest space- Since I walk around somewhat barely covered at times that is not too often. Same for undies- last night I wore undies, for example, but my "dress" was completely missing the backside and it was snowing and my butt was cold so, yeah- I wore undies.
All in all, I would say underwear is overrated ![]() _____________________

i love to wear lingerie, and will most of the time...just because I can and it pleases me...my partner also enjoys it when i undress...(no hunting through a 45,000 inventory for a bra for this girly to hunt it when im getting in the mood) Also love to see the edge of a beautiful bra peeping out from between the lapels of a well cut jacket- think last call suit...no camisole or shirt under the jacket..but the edges of a lace bra...i like that ![]() Well put! _____________________

I suspect if a woman (who can do anything (except change wheel bearings ![]() I say thank God for the man who invented bras! As a rather *ahem* well-endowed woman RL, bras are a must! (ETA after reading spinster's post - "the woman who invented bras." ![]() Of course the "type" of bras is fodder for another discussion, ie. I personally don't like the underwire bras as they cut into me. For non-business/dressy wear, I LOVE sports bras. _____________________

I just had a freebie set for a longtime. I just put in my default folder along with one of everything else. Shape hair eyes skin jeans top socks pair trainers and my fav bangle. So whenever I cant be bothered deciding what to wear I just clik and replace all. Basically what I do as well. I have a "Basic Outfit" folder that I change seasonally but has my Mysti-tool, AO, underwear, top, pants, shoes, my two rings and necklace I wear all the time, hair base and hair. It's what I begin my day with and then change out from there. I have several sets of lingerie, but basically mainly always wear the black lace set that is in my default folder. If I'm wearing a top that doesn't need a bra, I just take that off. ~ ~ ~ Now I want to go see the vintage lingerie in Betty's store ![]() _____________________

Oh, I thought the Brassiere was named after a man with the last name of Brassiere? I thought the same thing, but apparently it's an urban legend. I only heard of it in the song Bette Midler sang in Beaches about Otto Titzling. Here's what I found online...filed under Urban Legends... http://urbanlegends.about.com/od/business/a/otto_titzling.htm _____________________
