I remember a thread in the not so distant past where a woman got bashed, and there were several comments following it on how heartless women can be.
I pretty much think that when we see a "HE done me wrong" thread, men will be bashed. If it's a "SHE done me wrong" thread, women will be bashed. Just depends on what's on the menu today.

I notice that too Honey on wide variety of topics, just not just on Man/Woman did me wrong. I haven't noticed much Female bashing but it might be my own tunnel vision. There is lot of things though never could figure that out myself like when certain subjects get lots of response, support and others get put down, etc. then month later it seems the opposite in responses and support.

From: Skell Dagger Void, it's just the usual cyclical lifecycle of 'Pserendipitus danielis' (I would italicise, as required by binomial nomenclature, but alas the forums will not permit me to). Give or take a few seasonal variations, it appears from all observations to run thus:
Stage 1 - The egg
To observers this appears to be the dormant stage, but activity is not entirely suspended. Within the egg there is growth and movement, as P. danielis grows strong enough to break out of its leathery shell and explore the world.
Stage 2 - The larva
This is the most vulnerable stage. The newly-hatched P. danielis observes its surroundings and integrates itself, usually with mixed success. It tends to mingle well with other species in the same family, and after a relatively long period of time becomes a member of the colony.
Stage 3 - The pupa
At this stage, P. danielis begins to build a hardened shell around it. While still interacting with other members of the colony, it begins to attack at random. It possesses an adequate pair of pincers by now, but they never grow sharp enough to cause damage to the colony, who usually begin to shun P. danielis at this point. On rare occasions the colony's queen may order the workers to expel P. danielis from the nest if its behaviour grows too erratic, but the usual treatment by fellow colony members is to simply push P. danielis into the outer reaches of the nest and ignore it.
Stage 4 - The adult
The shortest stage in the lifecycle of P. danielis. By this time it is attacking members of the colony at random, biting viciously at the females (never a wise move for this creature, as the female of the species is more deadly than the male) and targeting one or two members of the colony significantly. Toward the end of this stage, P. danielis exudes a pheromone (Stenchus vitriolica) that causes the females of the colony to attack it en masse and seal it up in an egg, there to wither and rot until such time as a new P. danielis is formed from the sludge within, and the lifecycle begins again.
The conclusion from these observations is that P. danielis is a relatively small and insignificant creature that goes through stages of acceptance and attack. Its bite, though sharp, is harmless and non-toxic, and it is swiftly handled by the females of the colony. *Daros hops into Skell's lap hoping some of teh awesome smart from his Beloved will rub off on him* Well, that and other nefarious reasons...

There is lot of things though never could figure that out myself like when certain subjects get lots of response, support and others get put down, etc. then month later it seems the opposite in responses and support. At the risk of sounding like I'm male bashing, which I'm really not, we just see more instances of "HE did me wrong". I think, as a whole, you're not going to see many men coming into the forum and crying their hearts out. It's just not "cool" for them to do so. Even the last "SHE did me wrong" thread was started by a friend of the wronged one. I've talked to plenty of men who have been hurt. They're just not going to put it on public display.

This thread (or Forum) reminds me of when I walked passed teh staff room of my boarding school. Tons of arguing over nothing. In my real world I ran away. Never regretted it for a minute. And it's infectious.- even students like me could catch it. Is it women or men who are to blame? Who is the most immoral? Etc etc. We are in a rarified atmos[here of a computer world soall our extreme desires (and behaviours) can be externalized and acted upon. Myself am glad I dont place myself anymore (as I continually was doing) in REAL danger; I can explore my moralities with litle or no serious consequences. I am not too sure about immoralities - I think any of us would best be described as amoral or (in light of thi snew world) PREmoral. And hysterical? That is a male definition of a woman giving men shit. One things I have learned in my wide experience of men in sl; theyre real wives girlfriends or partners would be very interested in what men REALLY want to do when they have sex.

True most Men keep certain things personal and aren't going to share "She/He did me wrong" type post. Most Men tend to stuff their emotions, their are theories that is probably why Men tend to die earlier then Women in first life.

From: Skell Dagger Void, it's just the usual cyclical lifecycle of 'Pserendipitus danielis' . . . snip This would be more impressive if I had not recently seen almost *exactly* the same post recently on another forum I frequent -not about me I should point out though. I wouldn't have thought that someone with your leanings would be a soccer supporter Skell, but it takes all sorts I suppose, and faking originality is fine if you can get away with it. I am a little surprised at the effort you have put in though in editing it for me. Does that mean you care about me, and if so, I am sorry, but there are several good reasons you need not waste your time. I am straight, I don't go in for those love-hate relationships that seem to be the vogue in same-sex partnerships and anyway, my taste is much too good. I must say that it amuses me to see someone like you (and your lap-dog) wanting to comment in a thread on male-female relationships, or was it the scorn of a woman that drove you away from that sort of thing? I am sure Charly would be delighted to see your contribution if it was relevant. Congratulations on your neologism by the way Void; "sadonic" somehow encapsulates your attitude. And I don't think that pointing out the ignorance involved in not reading threads you were commenting on is particularly rude, Clarissa. Pep (Once again, your emotions have overwhelmed logic, which is rather my point)

Pep (Funny, FD claimed to have put me on ignore and now he is supporting me!) No longer ignoring you. Yes isn't that funny I am supporting you. The reason is because I have had numerous times where I have to deal with very upset female friends who just met a guy at some sl club fooled around with him like few days or maybe a night and then are already feeling really depressed or severely disappointed due to expectations, lied and used having to lovingly shake them sense in them. Worse yet when they im me and begin describing how they are Avatars are being bullied into a comprising situation by a guy or other women they have no sexual interest in but they don't want to set boundaries and just want to be nice and I want be loving friend but I rather create something not listen to it. Yet even I must confess Amara few times had to lovingly shake some sense into me over the last summer. So we all are human and sometimes neurotic...at least I am Pep you can be perfect ok?

(to no one in particular) What I've witnessed SL and FL (sadly) is that most people uniformly treat their gfs , bfs, wives, husbands, partners, whatever, like total crap. There is little real affection or admiration for whoever happens to be at your side, and even less respect. Because so many people believe (though they won't admit it) that a romantic partner is as disposable as a plastic shaver or a water bottle: drop one, pick up another. How many times have you heard "there's more fish in the sea"? Well, there may be plenty of fish, but no human is disposable. Everyone is different. They may not suit you, but in all likelihood, there's someone out there that they suit perfectly. What, you say? They were a total nutjob and that's why you dropped them? Um, YOU picked them. What does that say about you? Maybe if everyone were a little less eager to pair up with anything that crossed their path and took the time to get to know people as *people* first rather than basing their criteria on how beddable they are, there'd be fewer disappointments. You should know more about who you're opening your heart and your life to before you jump into a relationship. I mean, screw all the talk about sitting down and having that "open chat" beforehand. People LIE when they want something. Didn't we learn that in kindergarten? You should take the time to find out whether or not your prospective partner is the kind of man or women to lie in the first place, then consider having that talk. Yeah yeah, I know it's easier to say than do. There's a reason we have hormones and mine often start pinging right off the wall (usually when my Skell comes into view!). And I know it can be overwhelming to meet a guy who totally sweeps you off your feet in one way while appalling you in another. Often, we try to reconcile the two, just to keep that excitement in our lives. It isn't worth it. Stop "shopping" for love like it was a dress or a pair of jeans and just ... chill... out. Good things do happen. -D (optimistic!cat, today)
