Sad for Farrah- particularly the last bit when Ryan O'Neal- her love of forever wanted to marry her

I had checked the net for any updated info on Farrah a few days ago and saw that bit about Ryan O`Neal and that Farrah was going to when she "could say yes" which made me think she was so weak at the end she could barely speak. Still sad here.

Well you would be wrong, this is an international forum where there will be people who believe that death is the end of everything to those that believe it is the beginning of everything, some who mourn when someone dies and those who celebrate it, those who care, those who could care less.
How can there be commonality on anything in such a place?

What you consider decent is not necessarily decent for anyone else, what they consider decent is not necessarily for you. You cannot force your viewpoints on others - even at a time of grieving.

This is not a public mourning place, nor are these people who knew the deceased - that makes a big difference. People are dying all the time but even you who mourn MJ only feel this way because what he did meant something to you in some way that XYZ celebrity who dies tomorrow didn't. This differs for everyone.
Funny how we don't see threads like this over everyone who has died recently do we?
Not even all celebs...

I would hope that the common decency is extended toward the grieving. No matter how you feel about a person....it is not them that you are extending the gesture toward....it is toward those who are grieving.

I haven't seen anyone saying anything bad about Jackson's friends and family.

Why are you being Devil's advocate? Being told to shut up is a predictible reaction when you trash talk someone who died in a thread dedicated to them. I would expect no less than an adverse reaction if I started spitting venom here. Surely you must too. So why the lecture? Are you just being contrary for the sake of it?
What does it matter? It is the message that is important, not why the message is given. If the message has validity then it will stand, otherwise it will fall. This is not about me.

Well farewell To Michael Jackson, with the words of the greatest singer of all "Another one bites the dust..." I m not moruning because I didn't know him and I suppose he wouldn't have mourned if I had kicked the bucket.

He suffered a lot and did alot of mistakes unfortunately he was a public person so we all where able to see his mistakes... Who am I to judge someone?

anyways we will see a lot of moruning now and a lot of TV Shows about his life, that has been a struggle a lot... still I wonder how many TV Shows we will see about Neda...

even though i did not start this thread, i sent in a request that it be locked.
whether you believe he is guilty or not is besides the point.
you did not have to post in the thread if thats how you felt.
like i said in my previous post, i will miss the music.

why should it be locked?

all people have to do is respect the views of others
just because we can not see eye to eye or do not agree with something someone says doesn't mean we have to chastise them does it?

I am sad to see Michael gone, his music will be missed
as for the things he was accused of, I am not one to judge, nor will I

*pokes snout in*

*looks around*

*feels the gentle caressing warmth wash over him from all the posts*

*quietly shuts the door saying "Nope, seems hot enough in there already"*

;)

(personally, I have nothing invested in either of them, but I feel for their close friends and families; somewhere, someone loved/loves them and misses them more than most will ever know. That's all that matters.)

So you are just gonna sit on the fence and peck at the people who got offended? Have fun with that.

I am out. Drama level exceeding comfort level.
Briana, I hope you know that I have nothing against you at all nor against you or anyone wanting to express how upset you are here but I just think that same courtesy should be extended to those who want to say what they want about it too. I had hoped you would understand.

Was that question or were you telling me? If you were asking, no you have not understood me at all, if you are telling me then, please stop projecting your feelings on me.

Yet this is a forum for debate, not a public mourning place.

Despite everything Michael Jackson did or possibly did, I will miss his music. Farrah, a brave soul that went out with dignity.

You are not really saying anything at all, are you? I've completely lost what your point is, and not entirely sure you even have one. Enlighten me, what the hell are you going on about?

Seems like you have already decided for me. Yet again if you didn't understand...how valid is that?

Not going to repeat myself, try to understand. There is a point you have missed, perhaps re-reading the thread a few times might help?

she's "going on about" perspective, and that if you have extreme feelings one direction or the other then it's going to limit how you view it.

Ok then, I'll take a shot.

As far as I can tell, you are saying it's all fine and dandy when people make a special effort to say how much they dislike someone who died, in a place where people are paying their respects, because it's free speech here, and people have no right to get offended.

I hope you are not saying that, but I have a feeling this is your point. If I'm wrong, then please feel free to correct me.

Nope and if you haven't gotten my point now, repeating myself again nor correcting you will not help.

The petty discussions in this thread make me sick.

Hickups, little screams, dance, incredible feel of rhythm, unprecedented voice. That's how I remember Michael Jackson. A genius. Unhappy. Oh boy, I am happy that I was here when he was here.

Suit yourself. If you can't defend your argument in a discussion forum, it's stupid to try and make one in the first place.

Maybe someone with more conviction can enlighten me.

I just stumbled in from a night out, I haven't read the post preceding or following the one I quoted, however I think this post has a lot to say!

OK I have been quite for awhile but I see that people can not let it go and still state that what I did was horrible. So let me give my perspective and this will really piss you off which was not my intent in the beginning. I think it is sick and disturbing that the world is mourning his passing. I never said he was not a great artist, but what he did overshadowed that. I am disturbed that people can say that his artistry overshadows the children he molested and that he "just had problems". I think that he deserves no more respect then a mass murderer or serial rapist or any other pedophile or a person that abuses children. I think that by people mourning his passing it is sending the message to the kids he bought off, the kids that will have problems for the rest of their lives, that normally we would be concerned but because he was famous, it is all right that he molested you.

I originally respected your opinions enough not to point out how wrong you were. I originally respected that some are not convinced that he did molest anyone and did not force MY beliefs down anyone else's throats. That is before I was jumped for not respecting the mourning period of someone who I feel deserves nothing but contempt.

HOLY CRAP!!!!

I just found out about MJ.

My dad & I were talking earlier today about Farrah. We were trying to think who the 3rd celebrity would be. We thought it'd be Patrick Swayze. The whole MJ Death just came out of no where.
