It makes no matter if you are an average Joe or the most popular person in the world, it is not up to us to judge for they will be judged after they take their final breath...

Your post was intentionally ugly, and hateful.

Good job, mission accomplished.

Jesse. It was labeling your action.

I could have used a host of other adjectives that were intentionally rude.

I did not say YOU ARE UGLY. YOU ARE HATEFUL.

I said YOUR POST WAS UGLY AND HATEFUL.

And right now you are on a serious tirade.

I did not attack you Jesse. I do not wish you to think I attacked you. I addressed the content of your post. Not the content of your character.

I can imagine the flamewars going on in here so I'm just gonna post and not read yet.

Both deaths are tragic. I feel gutted. I can't recall the last time I felt this affected by a death of a famous person. And this surprises me, but then, these were two icons who are gone well before their natural time, so it seems. Cancer and heart disease, two of the biggest killers on the planet.

Farrah Fawcett was the face of a generation. THE "it girl" of the 1970s.

Michael Jackson ruled the 1980s. Both were highly talented people who brought a great deal to the world of entertainment.

For just one day, if not a while let's think on their contributions to this earth and celebrate their lives...

(Am at a celebration of Michael Jackson's music in SL right now, Fox "news" had me disgusted, picking at his bones for scandal already. These people in SL have the right idea.)

Rest in Peace Farrah and Michael. Two very special candles whose flames have not burnt out but merely glow brighter now.

This goes to everyone else that was nasty to me here. What in the hell have I done to you Briana? What about you Ciaran?

All I said was that there was a time and a place, I agreed with Briana that you could have kept it to yourself. That's hardly an attack or being nasty to you Jesse.

Like everything, it is dependent on your beliefs. I would not expect that everyone would have the same beliefs about life, death or anything.
There is no such thing as common decency either that encompasses everyone.
The only application of common decency can have is where you have a bunch of like minded people who have decided for themselves what that amounts to.

Jesse obviously holds different views from the OP and a few of you here. There is nothing special about this thread which means people cannot say what they believe in.
I am surprised at some of the people who are involved in telling Jesse what she can or cannot post.

It's a frickin' thread on a forums about Second Life for goodness sakes.
Making "special threads" for RL celebrities or in fact anyone dying have no real place on these forums so either put up with what generally happens here opinion wise or take it to a fan board or a general news site.

Guess what? People die, ALL the time. Some are great people, some are dirtbags. Their death doesn't change that.

no it doesn't.

Death should serve as a reminder that life is way to short though
Death should remind you to appreciate life more be it first or second.
Death should at least stop and give you pause and to reflect.
Tomorrow's not promised to us.

and this thread reminded me partly why i stopped posting in these forums, and going into secondlife.

I can. Heath Ledger. Freddie Mercury.

I liked Freddie but Heath did affect me. His last performance was extremely powerful. I read an article where he had been undergoing treatment after the movie was wrapped. Said that he had gone so deeply into character that it had kind of taken a life of it's own and he could not stop it.

If I would not have been so rudely interrupted I would have also added on about Farrah. Yes she was pretty but it takes more then that to be a human being, someone who gives back to the world. Her work in the movie "The Burning Bed" had a powerful affect on a lot of people at the time and did a lot to empower women in the judicial system.

I do not mind if anyone posts that they did not like him or her. It would not have an affect on how I feel about them, nor diminish their impact on me. In fact I will not chastise them or criticize them for holding beliefs different then my own.

Yes, there is.
How can there be?, so many people and cultures hold wildly differing beliefs about all things including decency. The actions of individuals within their own countries differ enough that there are those who do care for what decency means but just as many who don't care for even the concept of decency let alone agreeing with a common. Now say why you think there is.

See now? Once again, when have I ever been nasty to you Ishina?

In fact what has everyone else been doing this evening? Let me see, I helped someone with a script that they had a problem with for the last 3 days. Also helped someone who could not post to the Scripting Forum because of the SQL keyword filter or new < breaker.

You jumped all over me for using the terms "naysayer" and "blingtard" in a post, yet "monster" and "deserved to die" are indefensible?

Pfft.

Nasty? What does that have to do with anything? Do you consider my post as nasty to you? If so, you are over-sensitive. I was simply criticizing the implication that you wouldnt defend Heath Ledger if someone was trash-talking him 5 mins after he died. I know I sure would.

No one has told Jesse what she can or cannot post.

The content of her post was criticized.

It is after all "part of generally what happens here, opinion wise". (Your words)

LOL, I do not have the looks or the youth to pull that bumper sticker off. I was also jealous of a license plate I saw in State College, PA. Four hot blondes in a convertible mustang about 10 years ago with the vanity plate: TKITOFF
