Someone was trash talking someone who died, minutes after they died, and by some opinions, it is poor taste to do so.

You are not an ugly or hateful person Jesse - no one has said that.

What you said, probably would have been accepted without a remark if you had posted it tomorrow, and preferably not in a thread mourning.

Bad form to bring other thread grievances to this conversation. Shall we dig up stuff about you from other threads too and post them here? Like how you came crying like a baby when LL made you swap your land saying it was the attitude of the other person that was the problem? MJ is not a poster to which or about which she is saying these things, nor was MJ's death a suitable topic here and finally she was not asked in a nice way to stop, her post was ripped into and at least one told her what she should and should not be doing.

I think you mean defensible rather than indefensible. I am not defending nor supporting either side of the MJ was Good or Bad, just that if a person is going to post here about a person with such a checkered past as MJ then they should be prepared that there are going to be less than gushy opinions here also.

I just said something simaler to my daughter, well the only ones who know for sure if he did or did not do this is himself and the almighty... If you believe in christian faith, his day of true judgement is now.

I frankly dont know what he did or did not do so I am not going to judge the man..

I do believe he made a contribution to the world none has ever done and you can not deny this.


I am sorry though his passing puts Farrahs on the bottom..... I was looking forward to that show on TV tonight with barbra Walters and all I saw was MJ stories.

She got people talking about a hush hush subject.. and I will tell you I am old enough to remember her being on charlies angels and I watched that show faithfully... (as I loved my name sake character- not farrah)

But what I do not understand is why people take a thread that others wish to share or mourn together in and slander up or slam others. It makes me sick frankly.
Or why others feel as a common community a thread like this is not proper.

I had always thought it was a place I could communicate and express feelings and share with others in my SL community...

I didn't thread stalk you to bring up your past posts, I just brought up an example of a post you might not want raking over - that is still not the same and until I specifically wait until you post something in another thread and then bring up some perceived slight against you from a different thread you have no cause to call my behaviour out.

Yes, they did say things to Jesse that make it clear what they expected that she should or should not be posting. It is as clear as day here in the thread posts.

I think now is a good time to take it to private.

I would hope that the common decency is extended toward the grieving. No matter how you feel about a person....it is not them that you are extending the gesture toward....it is toward those who are grieving.

It's not another person's call to decide "who" deserves the common decency. It's not another person's call to decide who is allowed to grieve, and in what ways they are allowed to grieve.

Seeing today's scene played out in media....the struggle with cancer....or the unexpected death....the hospital....the family driving away from the hospital for the last time....will effect a lot of people that are not quite through a particular stage of grief yet, concerning their own loved ones.....possibly a friend of yours, even. It's the grief stirred up all over again....and they feel it. Has nothing to do with a movie star - but with a human being.

Be careful of how you express your lack of feelings....it implies a lack of compassion for fellow human beings and/or a disregard for life.....which is not something you want to display around people you may actually like and care for, that are grieving.

I'm sorry that you live in a country/culture that does not extend that sort of common decency toward everyone.

Why are you being Devil's advocate? Being told to shut up is a predictible reaction when you trash talk someone who died in a thread dedicated to them. I would expect no less than an adverse reaction if I started spitting venom here. Surely you must too. So why the lecture? Are you just being contrary for the sake of it?
