Here in Europe I have just woken up to the news that MJ is dead. I heard about Farrah last night, and was deeply saddened.

While I have always admired MJ for his music and as a performer, I must say that as a person he was deeply flawed, especially with regards to his predilection for young children, and I shall not mourn his passing. I am saddened by those who put his talent above the safety of children.

The initial emotional reaction was due to the subject matter in the thread title - nothing to do with anything you have said or done, so you can't claim that as a small victory.

Overall, a good quality dodge. Use of the "I don't really care" card was -1 interwebz, because it is in the top 10 overplaid, and for the same reason it's -1 for the claim that your opponent is irate. The last paragraph allows a casual glancer the illusion that you have previously made sense, so good call on that.

I was referring to the 11-year-old Jordy Chandler case in 1993, in which he paid the family an estimated $20million, in an out-of-court settlement. A pay-off of $20million is not the same as being found not-guilty. Do you mean there has been more cases since then? In which one was he found not-guilty? Just for the record.
