Twitter update: Chris made some cult-like power play in the Forum Hangout group and Jig called him on it. The disciples are cleansing Jig of bad thoughts now.

The hangout is a group owned area put together by people who frequent this forum
It is open to everyone and is a newbie friendly place as well. Not as big as NCI but more of a comfortable atmosphere place.
The group is The Forum Cartel.

Let me rephrase my unanswered question to be a bit more general.

Is there well defined criteria for ejection from the group/hangout?

I fail to understand the point in even bothering to start this thread. This is not an issue the SL Residents, as a group, need to know a thing about. This is only relevant to those who are part of The Hangout who won't find the original post to be some kind of cryptic secretive gossip mumbo-jumbo.

I might as well start a thread talking about something that happened recently at Bedrock without naming names or what happened, just making vague hints to some kind of big goings-on, and ask all the SL Residents if it was necessary, it'd be just as relevant as this thread.

Rhaorth, I swear to God that I NEVER im'd you. I would never do such a thing. Why would I do that? I have been the victim of enough IMs from weird names to know better than that. You can go on wondering BUT if I don't like anything, I'll say it as close as I can get to someone's face in this place and say it as Jig Chippewa and no one else.

Basically griefing, intentionally starting arguments, planting of spy prims. A lot of it is a judgment call. With the exception of the great Alt massacre of 07, I have only ejected and banned maybe five people in two years. And 4 of those were outside griefers on noob accounts. The other was someone who made rude comments to a child AV, then mouthed off to the group officer who asked him to apologize.


If there is a problem, please bring it to attention of a group officer or owner.

I fail to see why the Cartel members continue to bump the public thread (Or is it just to entertain me?) instead of calling a meeting with Jig in private and hash it out that way.

People, listen. I take the blame for this. I had NO idea anything was going on in teh Undying Thread. I had NO idea that the hangout was a real wasps nest of anger. My intent was to ask people who USE the forum in this context why teh note was sent for people who use the Hangout in THAT context. It's a misunderstanding but everyone seems to be yelling and blaming for somehting that seems so pointless.

Stop now. Blame ME, please. Don't ruin your friendships you have with each other and what you have created from nothing. I am not involved in the intense solid and fruitful relationships that all of you have developed over the years, and whatever you may think, I do know you all genuinely enjoy each other's company and have fun together. So be friends. Please.

Whatever happened its probably NOT important enough to even merit this long a thread. Just accept I didnt know I was treading on eggshells here.
