From: vulva Core I think the above post completely sums up the OP's point because sadly despite it being 2009 a lot of women particularly in second life pander to mens fantasies and objectify themselves in the process. I suppose many women may feel the only way they can get a mans attention is if they put out or dress porno star style. Personally I feel its not a good look but each to their own. You only have to look at many lesbians who refuse to gender conform or dress for men to realise that the women who dress in this OTT manner in rl or sl are not empowered but are victims whether they realise it or not. I think the above post just proves how many women are jealous of the freedom of style others will wear because they want to It's 2009, women don't have to hide their knees anymore

From: Sling Trebuchet Anyhoo.. It doesn't matter overall if you misunderstood *me* to have that opinion. What is clear is the guy described by the OP certainly did have that opinion.
Ooops I am terribly sorry. I totally got that one wrong.

I don't remember the '80s being like that. The '60s, sure, but by the time Disco died nobody was going to be seen dead in anything outside the safety zone.

I do not remember the '80s. Other than being home ill from school, and playing. TV comes in with something like "breaking news about the space shuttle launch". And I learn that it exploded. With that teacher aboard.
I seem to be home alot for those things. Like 9/11, or OJ's flight from the law in the white suv.
Though I do remember Miami Vice and the style of clothing worn on that show.

I'm sorry, but wearing a shirt tucked into any trousers except jeans with belt loops and not wearing a belt, just makes a guy look like a slob. Same with wearing an untucked shirt under a sport coat, blazer or suit jacket. I don't care who says it's cool and hip. It's just sloppy.

in the 60's and 70's dark heavy suits with wide ties and wide lapels were the norm. even a leisure suit was collared and worn with a button up shirt. men in the 80s could choose to wear no tie, wear no collar, no socks, no jacket, and could wear pastels!. From: Argent Stonecutter I don't remember the '80s being like that. The '60s, sure, but by the time Disco died nobody was going to be seen dead in anything outside the safety zone.

Pink? What's wrong with pink? I have a pink Harris Tweed jacket and it looks sh%t hot on me.
Mind you, I also have a taxi yellow cashmere overcoat, which weighs a ton.

Men have fashion latitude...on the golf course. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/golf/5245837/John-Daly-lights-up-the-road-to-redemption.htmlArgent - institute 'wear a kilt to work Friday'. 'Continental Thursday'? 'Going for Baroque Wednesday'? You can do eet.
