Secret SL Viewers? "Cyro" and "V-Life"

Sim Buster @ van Eyck tonight .. we not not amused, came back twice to crash the sim under different names. Voice only and said he was A New Boss or Anubis Ok question, rouge client or sim buster or both?

heres a question.. someone told me that the emerald viewer has different shaped objects for building. and its depending on what sim your on. i still havent found a sim that changes the shapes of building objects or prims ? anyone know about this?

No- not different sim- different client- If i build a thing with the new shapes in GL and you are in a different client- it will look the same to you- but- if you try to change it, edit it- then it snaps back to the original shape, i.e, box, sphere- whatever.

Cool if they added more shapes. Never looked at that. I will have to take a peak this evening.

Here is one of the shapes and how it is seen in both SL and GL clients. Note- I was told that if i changed the size the new shape wd snap back to the std form. This is incorrect- howeer, when choosing to change the form, say from cube based to sphere based, then you wd possibly lose the 'new shape' - size doesnt seem to affect it.

hi i still dont understand.. when i go to edit in greenlive viewer, all the objects look the same even when i rez them. so if im in the gl viewer and some on is in sl viewer and i rez a box it will look different to them? this sounds screwed up to me. please help me understand this so i dont create a build with the gl viewer and some one in sl viewer sees my build all messed up

Oh, sorry, from what you wrote I thought you had found it =)

What you do is rez one of the standard prim types, and then you can change it to one of the custom ones. In the edit window under the Object tab, you will find a bunch of extra options under the little Building Block Type menu. Try them out and see what they do, some look more interesting than others.

The Chinese own already the better half of the Everest. The Nepal side is full of dead bodies and empty oxygen tanks... and if you climb from the Chinese side you just need about 15.000 EUR instead of 30.000 from the Nepal side

The owner of our company just came back from the Chinese side Everest Base Camp. He also had the "pleasure" of being driven on the Friendship Highway(Google it to see some mind blowing pictures). He is 70+ but this was on his bucket list. Everest of course is worth seeing but he will never go back. The crushing poverty in the area is pretty bleak. Children lined up outside the door of a "restaurant" waiting for the owner to turn their back for a second so that they could rush in and steal a handful of rice off of his plate.

I have been very fortunately and had the opportunity to travel the globe. Wish they made it a requirement during the college years. Your perspective is forever changed. Once you look past religion and governments, you will see that all the majority of people on this earth wants is shelter, food and maybe a better life for their children.

Back on topic. Both Thomas and LGG have done some really amazing work with the viewer. I had already been using LGG's PAR plugin for over a month. Now that it is integrated into the viewer code it is amazingly fast and helpful. Hopefully, now that alternative viewers are giving ways to list the av's in a sim, LL will get off of thier butts and finally give us llAgentsInSim. Stupid amount of bandwidth wasted over the years on needless sensors.
