Thanks for the...the...I don't know...but thank you? What I find interesting, is that many of the people I 'argue' with can be real jerks also...but you NEVER EVER see anyone calling THEM out. That is the very definition of 'clique' which 'you' all so aptly denied exists here. Can you see my point? Or do you disagree as usual? I think it's more of a case that we already know we are jerks so pointing it out would be redundant. _____________________

I just don't see what *I* think of as cliquish behavior with this group....we don't attempt to exclude anyone, but sometimes people exclude themselves, either by making assumptions about our motivations or by stirring the pot a little too hard. I'm not saying differing opinions aren't welcomed, just that there's a difference between expressing such opinions and using them primarily to get a rise out of people. Sometimes, IMHO, you tiptoe right up to that line...do it again and again, and people WILL get a little antagonistic. That's all. *shrug* _____________________

I've never seen it as a clique on the forums. Sure, there are regular posters, and as such they get to know each other pretty well, without really having to meet in world....knowing someone's opinions and style of writing, etc, does tell you a lot about them. Others of us, we post less often, some people mostly read and only post once in a while. Either way, I never noticed a clique......but I do agree that sometimes, Michael, you do play the victim role too well. And I've never actively disagreed with you before.....although discreetly I have sometimes. And I've read every forum thread since I started on here, or just about. Your opinion on voice and people who don't use it was made quite clear, I thought, a long time ago. You just seem to equate disagreeing with you, or sometimes questioning your motives, with picking on you. No, you don't say those words but it's loud and clear in your attitude. This is just my observance...doesn't make me wrong, doesn't make me a hypocrite (honest or dishonest) and doesn't mean I'm disagreeing with you to jump on any bandwagon or be mean.

I'm not sitting around here challenging what people say...I'm really not. The challenges that bestow me, are when people break-off topic and make blanket statements...then I'm free to react if I see fit--this is a 'forum', and that's what it's for. See...some of you guys simply will not agree with me ever...ever...because of my reputation on the forums (which is completely different than my grid status mind you). You guys think I'm a jerk...and you love any opportunity to disagree and make me look bad...and there is nothing I can say to get you all to see this...lot's of problems come from me being blunt and honest... I honestly think some of you go against even your own beliefs just to disagree with me...I mean, statistically speaking, there is NO way everything I say on this forum is wrong, bad, or rude...but some how...somehow you've all made it seem that way. Go figure. Just becuase you are paranoid doesnt mean they arent out to get you!!! |
