I'm not new to Second Life or to the forums. As long as I have been reading these threads, there is one nagging thing that just bugs the hell out of me, even though it isn't my business or place to say. We are all free to discuss anything we want. I just have to get this off my chest. Sorry. There are two women on these threads, (of course I can't state the names because of TOS but I feel most will know who I am talking about,) that just really need to get a life. Whether it's a first or second life, I don't know, perhaps both. To me I label them as "busybodies" They have a comment to make in every thread with suggestions, innuendos, assumed expertise, etc. Don't these people work, or clean house, or something to keep them busy? I think the OP needs a Bex and a good lie down. Edited to add, I think she has women's problems this week. _____________________

Nope. At least not as this alt. Who knows she/he is probably still posting under a main account.

Though unlike the cooking and cleaning ones, those will probably never be made 'equal opportunity'. Unless Gloria Steinem's article "if men could..." came true. hehe _____________________

multitasking, it's not for men.. ![]() Corrected! ![]() And that is a physiological fact. Multitasking is directly related to the corpus callosum and its connecting of both halves of the human brain. It is a biological fact that men have significantly fewer connections across the callosum than women. ![]() _____________________

Hallie, if you are thinking of the same people that I am, I agree.
But if you aren't, then I don't. If you're thinking of me, all I can say is, "Thanks to the Academy, to my agent, and to my mother and father for believing in me back when I was just a child avatar. I couldn't have gotten here today without our great team of writers - I don't know WHERE they come up with their material, but they just kill me week after week, am I right? - and my lawyer, who is a real piece of work - but that's another story! To my fellow nominees: I am SO HONORED just be considered in the same group as you. I've admired you all, and you deserve this little statue just as much as I do. And, oh! A big shout out to my mother and my sister, who are watching at home, and to my Dad, who is watching from up in the sky. Thank you." . _____________________

This thread was just begging to be commented on, and none of it in the OP's favor. LOL I have a theory that the OP is one of the persons she talking about. Kinda of a reverse psychology thing. She thinks people think that, but is trying to see if that is what people thing by saying it and seeing who agrees. So we should all agree with the OP that way her main will feel bad for bring up the subject. |

Hallie, if you are thinking of the same people that I am, I agree. But if you aren't, then I don't. LOL. Truth is we all probably could be pressed to think up someone(s) who hit our last nerve. But also the forums would not be the same without those same people. I think each one of us adds our own spice. _____________________

I read her post again. She mentions that these people comment on 'every' thread. That has to be Seven, Clarissa, Lil or Scylla . . . Bri, you comment on 'most' threads.
![]() ETA: The four lovely women I mentioned above, I mention in only the most beloved way--they are the greatest and very well informed. I have learned an awful lot from each of them. ![]() _____________________

Well i will be the first to admit it. I do not have a robust 1st life. I sit at home, care for my 2 kids, make meals, clean house, sing in the bathroom and meet with a band every 2 weeks.
The Forums and SL are my social life. I do not associate with the members of my band - i just can't do it - anxieties, bipolar, mild agoraphobic, etc..(heck, it took a month before i would actually sing while looking at them), so sitting here, hitting refresh a bunch of times, for me is way more fun than watching T.V. and safer than going outside and dealing with the wilds of reality beyond my front door.\ It is very much fine for me. I feel safe, and happy. Outside i feel paranoid, and scared (unless i am camping at some national or state park in the middle of nowhere, which is great!). Not everyone needs a busy life outside the house or offline. I get my people contact online and i love it that way. Thank you very much for the compliment Kylie ![]() I read her post again.
