Personally being a Mother and GrandMother I certainly can not see merging the grids as children however rotten they can be are also very inteligent for there own good, how would you feel if your Son or Daughter were to view some of the more mature things on sl that you don't want them to see on rl? From: MortVent Charron And there is going to be a counter to that positive: It's like letting a manic depressive schizophrenic with homicidal tendencies wearing a trench coat, clown mask, and carrying a chainsaw babysit your kids if you're not watching out for them online.

I am for no kids at all.
If they do come, they need a big fluorescent KID floating over their head, and we need a control to auto mute them, but verification is a crock so, basically no kids.
I have never seen anywhere on the net ask for proof of age so as to let kids in, usually it's to keep them out. Which makes a heap more sense.
My reasons are the obvious worry of child abuse and also false accusations against adults. This will happen too as they are apparently allowed on Ursula and cameras can't stop kids seeing into mature houses.

From: Argent Stonecutter SL is a "place" in a way that pretty much nothing else on the Internet is. Exactly!

From: Argent Stonecutter SL is not like, well, virtually anywhere on the Internet. [...] SL is a "place" in a way that pretty much nothing else on the Internet is. Is it fundamentally different than a web-based chat room, as far as having children online there with you or not?

This will happen too as they are apparently allowed on Ursula and cameras can't stop kids seeing into mature houses. Wait: something is very confused here. Right now, nobody is allowed on Ursula. When Ursula opens, it will be available to anybody on the Main Grid who wants to go there and has payment info or age verification. But "allowed"? No, kids are not *allowed* anywhere on the Main Grid now, and there's certainly no plans to *allow* them onto Ursula. Of course, Ursula will be the first place they'll all go, the ones currently on the Main Grid illegally. If the grids merge, though, the legal teen accounts would never go to Ursula. For that, they'll make themselves illegal, payment info'd alts. I should think that those planning to make false accusations against adults would likely do it from illegal alt accounts on private sub-Adult land. If the events took place on Adult land, the teen must have not only created a fraudulent non-teen account but also gone the extra step of fraudulently securing access to a very explicitly Adult area; that would make it much more difficult to maintain the innocent youth act. (It goes without saying that this has nothing to do with kid avatars, which of course are allowed anywhere on the grid--just not for some activities. Obviously no RL kid would be caught dead in a kid avatar, so it's unlikely that's any source of confusion.)

Qie, I hope I am wrong, I am thinking I have read that they (real children, not child avatars run by adults) will not be banned form adult rated violence on Ursula...

Indeed. They should not be turned over to the monster of the internet without a guardian watching what they do... I want kids to be raised by the parents, not the monster that is the internet
