Yumi it works for everyone who does the very simple things i teach...i dont keep the info under lock and key. in fact ive given the chat logs of the classes out for free quite often, just like i teach the classes for free. if you would like them i am always happy to share as i do for anyone who requests the info.

I teach the classes because ive had so many people ask me for the info and more explanation in a class format. I dont make money from the classes as i assume you are implying. I also hold the classes as often as i can and they are always well attended. and i create new classes because people want more in depth info about once certain aspect of what i teach.

My marketing does not cost money. it is using the built in tools sl gives us...it doesnt involve bots or camping or anything else that is questionable. it is just good solid methods that work. it also does not involve buying ad boards or anything else that makes no sense...it involves things that work in sl. I cant create a new database for searching all items in sl for you. but i can give you all i know and hope you follow it to help you succeed as i have.

No, the idea is to command me to do things that help me out of this rut, not that just leave me stuck in it but quiet about it.

In fact, I think that having avatars is way too limiting. We should all be disembodied consciousnesses, all knowing and seeing, in SL. Why can't we have that?

I command you (COMMAND YOU I SAY) to find somebody who will give you one on one, in world, training on how to use the build tools. I further command you to not go off on a tirade about how this isn't how SL should be. Then I command you to go build stuff, take Jojogirl's class and market your stuff properly. And then, and this is the important part, give me half the profits. Because that's how you can enable me to have my SL wishes fulfilled.

So, to sum up this long and bewilderingly circular thread diversion: Yumi is fed up and wants us to do something about it.

It could certainly be an option. Not all-knowing, because people probably wouldn't want you seeing everything they do, but the option to be in several places at once would be very handy, actually.

That's limited thinking. I want to be *everywhere* at once, and see all! That's what I want!

That'd be a bit difficult, as you'd wind up getting land ejected from several of those places, probably.

Hey, my commands come first!

I have no idea how to find someone who'd help me with building in that way. There are plenty of people who've offered to show me how to cut prims, but I more or less know that. The bit I'm stuck on is the _next_ bit - ok, I know how to cut prims, but which prim do I use now?

yumi the way to find someone to help you is to not shoot down every single thing they suggest....take a breath, actually listen and people are usually more than willing to help. but if you constantly put up the "prove it" wall, people will retreat and not want to try. go to some building classes. go to some of the building contests. go hang out in a sandbox and talk to some people who seem to be making some cool stuff. make a friend. but dont walk up and demand that someone prove something to you....that does not make folks willing to help usually.

we have a really nice community...we have people who just hang around, chat etc. once folks get to know each other, they are generally happy to help. maybe that kind of scenario will work for you, but you HAVE to stop the negativity...that is a COMMAND...hehe

Being a vampire in SL is not defined by the Bloodlines HUD nor in fact any HUD. You don't even need anims, that is just a visual representation which is optional. If I choose to bite someone, I do it - I do not need request dialogs to make it happen nor permission from my victims.
It is only the boundaries of *my* rp rules that define what I do. My rp needs only what I type to make it happen, and it has been my experience that what I type is mostly accepted as what is happening by the people I am doing it to.
Just like with poseball sex, it is shallow and uninteresting by itself, it needs more from the participants to truly be interesting.
Can I do this in RL? Not really except as another type of roleplaying game. Does SL make this richer? Yes, certainly. SL is playing to my world and my imagination. I live my SL unlife the way I cannot live it in RL.
