You derail the thread with your report bull shit. Charley Babbot. Definately KMart. I know I know...../me puts self on report. You have been reported. Profanity. Abusive Language. Trolling. Personal attacks. This person has no intention or participating in proper logical discussion. This person's intention is malicious.

Another sock puppet from the same troll? Amazing. Bad Kim! No cookies for you! See what happens when you feed the little buggers? They breed! ^.-
(You'd think the charming Troll in question would've gotten the clue with the Linden 'hotline' response though, guess its just a really thick Troll though)
Oh oh! Report me too? Pleeeeeease? *falls over laughing*

I haven't used vBull on the admin side in awhile, but I know the flagged posts list is going to be a bear to sift through and clear. Imagine all the mischief that can be perpetrated while this frivolity continues. Yes. Imagine it. >:)

I take it pleasure, you are not just new to SL, but also to the world of forum posting? The only person I see who is going to get kicked is you for abusing the report system. I suppose this is off topic and I will now be reported... ?

From: Cheyenne Marquez I often wonder, why instead of "giving" away stipends, LL doesn't implement virtual employment as a viable means for people to "earn" money. For example, instead of automatic cleanup of governor owned sandboxes, why not employ people to clean up these sandboxes by paying them to manually clean them up. For instance, LL can pay them 1 - 5L$ for each prim they delete from sandboxes.
Got a better idea. How bout if you don't clean up your own prims in sandbox areas during a cleanup cycle, you get charged per prim. So instead of adding $L to the economy we take them out, thus driving the $L value toa higher stronger position since less will be in circulation

From: Schwanson Schlegel What kind? I'm rather fond of strawberry flavored ones where the wrapper looks like a strawberry. But also like simple fruit flavored lollipops. I have no logical explination But if someone else does, they can suck it *offers lollipop*

From: Kris Ritter what are the shells for? *blink* Well the question is not what are they for, I imagine we can all guess the answer to that - the question is how. Thats a -very- good question that begs its own thread.

I dont get the whole "welfare" and "unemployment" in SL..
This isnt RL.. welfare is about _survival_ not hanging around a virtual world.. You dont need to eat, or have shelter, or any of the stuff from RL.. Not to mention there is no unemployment.. RL Employment for most is about making money to pay for shelter, food, etc.
Again, done need any of that here.. An SL house is just a place to put your stuff, you dont _need_ it.
So why do some people in SL think they are entitled to money and a job in SL? If you want to treat SL like RL in that respect, then expect SL to treat you like RL: There's no free handouts.
You want money and a house, work for it.
And for you nitpickers in the audience.. Yes, I have a decent virtual income now.. But my first 8 months or so in SL I didnt. And I had the time of my life.
Oh. and I really like Reeses Peanut Butter cups personally.

From: Cheyenne Marquez I often wonder, why instead of "giving" away stipends, LL doesn't implement virtual employment as a viable means for people to "earn" money. ... For example, instead of automatic cleanup ... I think this would have many benefits. Among them, the creation of a service industry, a sense of belonging, elimination of welfare (stipends), development of work ethic, It is very strange, all those people worying about welfare and now unemployment! Unemployment is a problem IRL, in a virtual world it's not. The unemployed avatar doesn't risk seeing his health decaying ; he doesn't even risk becoming an outcast (clothes don't turn into rags, no unwiling hobo on SL...). And welfare? Really, with 50L$ per week an a basic account you can't buy anything. It's really a symbolic amount of money. There was the stipend bonus but it will soon disapear and become a non issue. Elimination of wellfare is what happened already with changes in rating and stipend bonus. There is already a service industry, no need to create one ; content creators get hired by people for custom works. This is a virtual world: fastidious tasks get automated by computer programs. I think it is a bad idea to leave those automated task to the residents. Most would be mind-numbingly boring and very few would want to do them for 50L$ a month. You can increase the pay above 50L$ but then you end up injecting more money in the economy in exchange for work that doesn't benefit SL -> inflation. Sense of belonging... for some people maybe ; I can imagine some people _need_ to have a job, even on a 3D world. But having those who do not care for it do some stupid non-useful work to earn 50L$ will probably be negative in the end and drive people away. From: someone and a clear delineation between those that are serious about "earning" L$, and the so-called "slacker." Those who are _serious_ about earning L$ try to learn something that will allow them to create content. Those who think they are helplessly clumsy or can't learn a thing go to the job forum to work in a club or something. Others probably don't want to work on SL. People who use the term "Slackers" (no offense intended to you, you put it in quotes) should remember that slackers are the people you can chat with and have fun, the workers are too busy earning money. Slackers are some of the people who buy your products too. From: someone Atleat thats what I find fun and attractive about it. A group of people from all parts of the world coming together online and simulating a real life economy, and working together to make it successful Fun is good, as long as one's idea of fun isn't imposed on others.
