I suspect an aura of civility in these forums would have kept Prokofy far far away.

If you think you can run SL better, and have all the answers, buy them out and run it! Better yet, go get your own VC and fire up your own game. Then you can make up all the rules you want. Maybe you could even lock up your employees 24 hours a day and hire monitors to sure they never speak about the game outside your offices. They, after all, have no claim on humanity anymore because they are in the service of those who participate in your world.

Grasping for straws or putting two and two together. It was asked if LLPath was Pathfinder linden. Yeah I think so. I was wondering if any other lindens been yapping it up with the members of Sluniverse is all. Seems like a logical question.

As far as pathfinder goes tho I did manage to find out that one of his personal bookmarks as listed in his profile here on these forums leads to a link to the sluniverse forums. Which hunt no not at all I'm looking for the truth here.

I have no clue what point you are trying to make with reference to Robin posting over on SLU, especially when, as Willow observantly pointed out, YOU are an SLU member yourself.

Some things need censored, like a small child who has learned his parent's first cuss word and uses it over and over.

Some people need to learn even as adults that their anger and rage against and towards others does have repercussions.

As an adult, you learn how and when to show you anger and frustration; by taking it public, you allow others to see the faults of your reasoning and beliefs. When enraged, you're enabling yourself to say things about and to others that might not necessarily be true.

As an adult, you pay those consequences.

I am not for censorship of any kind, but once it is out of control, something has to be done.

The FIC did not do this.

SLU did not do this.

The man did this all to himself. And will probably continue to do this until he learns a lesson.

But to support a person who's sole contribution to the SL forums is simply rage, anger, false accusations, etc. is simply wrong.

SL is better than that and needs to rise above it. This is not TSO, There or even WoW.

You are incorrect to say that his vile postings have a right to continue here. That is my opinion, you have clearly and publically stated yours. For the record, Cat, the link to the IRC version of Second Life is simply an interface that was installed so that individuals didn't have to go through the trouble of installing and configuring an IRC client to "chat." That IRC channel is not exclusive to SL Universe, it's just a convenient way when surfing the web to stop in and visit.

I think it was very wrong of Pathfinder to discuss a particular resident with other residents and I'm very disappointed that he did so. Totally agree with Coco, Catherine and Moopf's posts.

While you are all saying what he did or didn't do, some of the most vitriolic posts I have seen on these forums have been by some of you against Prokofy. Why don't you just not read his posts or put him on mute.

Maybe a question to the Hotline is needed, to ascertain if it is acceptable for an LL employee to do such a thing?

ok.. I have read pages 1-3 and the threads they pointed to plus pages 6-7 of this thread.

And, maybe I shouldn't say it, but I have known Pathfinder through his work of the past 10+ years and I can say that all of this, from my point of view, is being blown out of proportion.

Isn't it sad that just because a person steps out of the perceived role as a Linden for a few minutes to talk as a human being it becomes fodder for a whole 7 pages of back and forth turmoil. And, here I am, adding another thread. What a dummy I am!

I don't know what the committee is that everyone is talking about and I guess I will soon know. Perhaps I should have donned an alternate identity and should put on a flak jacket? But, I know the person behind the comments and can, perhaps, see them in a different way.

Maybe it isn't right to express personal opinion among others when you have the Linden hat on. But sometimes everyone does it, no matter what the field, RL or SL. So, I am sure he won't do it again... but, think about this:
Many people complain on SL that the Lindens are not reachable, that they don't listen to us, that they don't communicate with us. Maybe this is a reason why. If they have to maintain that aloofness and never become human, they can not respond with human-ness.

I rarely come to the forums. It always seems to be that so much is said in these threads when the issues are so much more simple. And, if you are really bored with someone who perpetually writes, or incited in them.. simply skip those threads... that is all it takes... the thread goes away and dies a natural death.

Yes, natural curiosity will probably draw me here to see how much trouble I am in. But, no, I won't post on the thread again.
