I've already gotten well underway! I had over 11000 items, and now am down under 5! Go team go! WTF?? Flip you gettin in? Ok, yeah I'll clean out my inventory...Not much there, just some old contracts, cease and desist orders, party invitations and party hats, some clothes I never wears, the notes on the SL book I'm writing, and who knows what else. My poems to Mercurious I would never delete, nor my book notes. So Panda since your started this thread add me to your list!    _____________________

Believe it or not - I had just shy of 4900... I guess I don't win SL.
Thats the great thing about having a short attention span: "what's this? ah fuggit, if I miss it I'll just build another!" I can't help thinking though - after being told that the problem areas are find and inventory, what effect will it have when everyone logs in and does a search of thier inv to see how many objects they have? Ha! Olmy, I had that same thought. I was going to limit the plaque to one prim, and one texture for everyone. Nothing too overbearing! I think giving a prim also shows that we don't have to stop using objects in SL, just be more conscious. how about making a monument with people's names? _____________________

Great idea Panda... I was just talking with Alexin about doing some massive inventory work. You can count me in for SL clean up day! I do wonder if it would make any difference in my av's lag if i transferred some of the inventory i really do want to keep to an alt I don't use (ie. holiday objects). I know the storage space is needed regardless but if the avatar is not online would it not improve database performance anyway?

I'll join the clean-up party.
It would be nice to have some reliable locations where one can find fresh copies of all the free stuff. I have things in my inventory that I only keep because I originally found them in a sandbox or somewhere so I don't know where I would find them again. Or perhaps, in addition to the Linden-generated "Library" folder, there could be a "freeware" folder that anyone could add stuff to, so none of us would need to be carrying around extra copies of all that free stuff. It would exist once, in the Freeware folder, rather than in hundreds or thousands of people's inventories, unless someone actually wanted a copy in-world. It should automatically check for duplicates and not accept them or delete them or whatever. Just a thought. In fact, I think I'll post that idea somewhere it could be seen. neko _____________________

Jake...Panda has suggested a really good idea that will help the situation for all of us. I dont know why you felt the need to call him an ass, but he is really a great person who has been unfairly attacked. It doesnt change the forum violation if you try to disguise the name calling by using another word. Panda did not deserve to be called an ass because you disagree with him.
