Catherine there is almost as much land that is blocked as private now...whats the difference? If I own 10 sims or 40 sims worth of land and I don't want someone on it I have the option to ban them...everyone does. It's not a question of land baroning.




People have to do it all the time. Its the same if someone builds ugly spoinning red cubes around you. but again this has absolutely nothing to do with land baroning.




Youl can replace land baron with any name and the situation is the same. You can't dictate what someone builds or if they ban you. Just as they can't dictate whether you have the right to neg rate them.




People tier down or leave SL everyday for one reason or another and people join everyday so I think LL has the law of averages going and could afford to lose any one of us. As for using power I'm sorry I can't feel for you when you used power as well by neg rating someone because they built something on their own land.

A very simple solution. Unban me for neg rating your forsale sign. From Ross and Samoa and other regiions I am not yet aware of.

Honestly, if land barons are in SL to run their land brokerages as a business I think they need to take a huge step back from any pettiness. I keep hearing about how they are bringing a form of rl commercialism into sl for the good of sl. If that is truely the case then seriously run it like you would a business and not a pissed off tit for tat knee jerk.

This type of banning when your goal is to sell land seems very counter productive. Honestly do you realy think I am going to buy any land from either of you now? Of course not I had a bad experience with you. Either your a business girl/guy or your not. You cannot have it both ways. That is called abuse of power.

See, now, the way I look at it is that reputation can be ruined by the spreading of rumors by one person if and only if those rumors meet no resistance in their path.

So in a scientific sense, we have:

A) "Jane Doe ripped my friends off!"

A.1) "Wow, that's terrible! I'm not surprised, though." --> rumor carries on along path with renewed speed.
A.2) "Really? I don't know Jane - she must be a bad person." --> rumor carries on along path at the same speed.
A.3) "I am surprised, I didn't know Jane was like that. Hm." --> rumor carries on, but is slowed.
A.4) "I can't believe you! I know Jane and she'd never do that!" --> rumor stopped.
A.5) "Stop making up lies about my best friend Jane, an upstanding citizen." --> rumor stopped, and reverse process initiated.

The best way to prevent or cure a malicious false rumor is to ensure A.4 or A.5 happen as often as possible. I shouldn't need to spell out how to do that.

Lol, Ursa, tysm for the advice but clearly if I go IW to find out what is going on not only will I probably get a "none of your business response" but I don't want to hear what I have already read on the forums. Also several people that I like seem to be at war with each other, which seems to always be sad. (Cat and Jauani are both nice people)

I did say at the very beginning "If its true". I clearly don't know both sides, however, I have seen Anshe do this to at least one other person as well for the exact same reason, because she got a neg rate. I just feel its wrong how she retaliates. Can't she just neg rate back? and be done with it?

Anshe's business practices aside, and Catherine's banning aside, I'd like to hear from you, Eddie Vogul, if you really started a negative mud-slinging campaign because Anshe Chung busted you on a scheme to exploit the First Land feature? I haven't seen you refute anything Anshe has said.

Are you just as bad as you claim her to be? What was your motivation in posting this thread?

No, you are talking about a specific incident between you and your neighbor...doesn't matter if she's a land baron or a newb with big dreams. It doesn't change the fact that you neg rated her for something she built ( which is your right) and she banned you from her land ( which is her right).

Well..i've tried placing my Yaght on several peoples land/water to ride it and it says "Creator doesn't allow" on this land"...suppose someone bought out all the land..and restricted putting down objects so you could ride them or etc. etc...what would happen then? lol.

Hey Anshe how much is mature mountian top snow land per m2? I am thinking about selling.

Ok I understand you point of view. My question is what happens when your banned not from just the property surrounding your home but from say 10 sims. The average player does not own a sim much less 10. That is the difference.

It is no secret that I have not been the biggest fan of some of Anshe's business practices in the past and have been outspoken about that fact, publicly and also privately to her. It is one thing to hold onto principles. It is another to not respond to any criticism or input and just keep doing things the exact same way no matter how it is affecting others. It reminds me of the presidential debates, when Bush constantly talked about staying the course, having certainty, and Kerry responded that you can be certain, and be wrong. Is there wisdom to staying the course of something that brings so much negativity? To each his or her own, I suppose.

Regardless of that, why is this thread here? I read the original post and am not even sure what Anshe is being accused of this time. The original post actually reads almost as a vaguely worded threat. Why is this post allowed to stand and so many other threads are locked very quickly with an admonishment from Jeska about personal disputes (which this seems to be)?

I have a fair chunk of maui... and its SO irritatin when i get back to my beach to find shit all over the place.. but I am not stopping ppl creating cos I have ppl lodging with me on my land, and it wouldn't be fair on them... even if they don't pay me rent ...

It's everyones personal choice what they do on their land, and I can see it from the point of both land owners and ppl that can't rez.. its annoying for both sides...

Did you read it? Ppl in power cannot push around the little guy no matter how many sims they own. That is my point. Apparently Anshe owns the land that mall sits on. I did say the gloves were off.

Yea..and it make me feel restricted. And can't people just set the prim return to like 20 minutes or something? I mean I clean up after myself anyway.

what i hear you saying is its ok to ban you on 10 sims if the owner thinks you deserve to be banned. At what point are your movements restricted to the point that your game play is affected? I guess that would depend on 1) your tolorance level and 2) how many sims the person who doesn't like you owns.

You want to resolve this issue ....follow these steps and I bet you are unbanned by tonight.

1. remove the negs you gave your neighbor.

2. Take down the sign protesting the neighbor

3. IM neighbor and tell them that this is all really stoopid . I don't want to fight with you and I doubt you want to fight with me.

4. you get unbanned.

Is this the best scenario...probably not but it will get you what you want. Honestly , would you rather keep the drama going or would you rather get on with your second life?
