From: Ewan Took Good God! Yes and you'd be even safer if you bombed every other house in the area just in case their terrorist under their beds too. If this an analogy to a technically advanced country who have precision-guided bombs, military intelligence and use of US sat pics it's nonsense. I agree. But I'll answer it anyway. I'd fire the missile at a target that would not net a secondary explosion, such as a tree or spot on the ground, close to the house itself. The resulting explosion would be rather unlikely to kill anyone, but may injure and/or incapactitate anyone in the house. THen everyone lives and you might get a prisoner.

From: Billy Grace Granted, but the neighborhood is out of range for your sniper rifle, do you fire a missile killing the terrorist and anyone else in that house or do you and your family die because you did nothing? You have failed your exam. Its called stalking the kill, and is a rather routine practice when hunting. Plus if they were shooting on my house, I know the terrain like the back of my hand (wait where did that mole come from? ) There is no "out of range" for me.

From: paulie Femto Christ, is it too much to ask that you RTFA before shootin off yer mouth?
from the article:
"an Israeli air strike killed 54 civilians, including 37 children, on Sunday"
And maybe, juuuuust maybe, if the 'courageous' hezbollah didn't hide themselves and their rocket launchers in suburban family neighborhoods for the EXPRESS purpose of racking up civilian deaths for their own propaganda .... well maybe this sort of thing wouldn't happen. But that's just my opinion of murderous bastards and their filthy subhuman tactics ... your mileage may vary.

From: Kendra Bancroft Olmert is a ghoul. How many of those 37 children were terrorists?
Or shall we just use the Hebrew word for "wooooops"? How many of those Israeli civilians that the rockets killed were your so-called neonazis?

From: Kendra Bancroft No. I asked about WTC #7. What do you suppose caused that to fall after 9 hours? I'm curious. You're curious like a hunter in a duck blind. Let's keep the thread on topic.

From: Ulrika Zugzwang You left out one:
1> turn civilian building into a bunker 2> preferably a hospital or mosque 3> military sends missiles knowing civilians are there anyway 4> send photos of military counterstrike to al-jazeera "zomg civilians!"
~Ulrika~ Perhaps you'd prefer 1> turn civilian building into a bunker 2> preferably a hospital or mosque 3> terrorists then continue murdering innocents galore with complete impunity because oooooo they're in a civilian area. Oh well, darn, can't do anything to stop them.

From: Alazarin Mondrian Part of the problem is that Israel practices collective punishment. The attitude that I have come across repeatedly from many Israelis and their supporters is one that paints their arabic neighbours as contemptible untermenschen unworthy of consideration. Until the day when Israel accords the arabic community who have been the stewards of the middle east for the last 2 millenia the same respect and dignity they bestow on their own, no amount of military superiority will ever bring them peace. Serious soul-searching, not guns, will bring peace. Yes, whereas random firing of rockets and suicide bombing in shopping malls and bus stops are so damn specific targeting.

To be serious for a moment in a thread that I don't feel like being serious in, I should state that descriptions of these individuals as terrorists is incorrect. They are in fact retaliating against oppression, which technically makes them rebels or freedom fighters. Only since the U.S. recast all those who oppose them (and their allies) as terrorists or supporters of terrorism has this euphemism found itself being invoked ad nauseam on forums. However, I understand if you need to cling to the euphemism as it obviates your need to consider that they might have a valid reason for their struggle. ~Ulrika~

both sides have fucked up, both are to blame and neither one will do what it takes to end this craziness.

~Ulrika~ OK, to help your sensitivities, change the word terrorist to freedom fighter. OK 3> FREEDOM FIGHTERS then continue murdering innocents galore with complete impunity because oooooo they're in a civilian area. Oh well, darn, can't do anything to stop them. However, I still prefer to call them terrorists since they carry out murderous attacks on civilians by choice. Indeed, civilians are their preferred target, not military. Also there's that creed of theirs calling for the complete destruction of Israel and the death of jews. But as I said before, your mileage may vary, as may your rationality.

~Ulrika~ I disagree. I may be wrong as the evil government backed media is my primary source of news, but I highly doubt that Israel places their military in civilian neighborhoods forcing the terro -- oops, freedom fighters to engage in areas guaranteeing high civilian fatalities. I also highly doubt that the Israeli military planners deliberately seek out completely civilian targets in an effort to generate fear. You can claim this all you like, till you're blue in the face, but that won't make it true. So no, I don't believe that the same thing could be said of Israel. Try again.

From: Kendra Bancroft Than you must concede that the United States and Israel are also terrorists. Must I? Irregardless of whatever sort of 'press' you read, I find it vanishingly hard to believe that either the US or Israeli military plans military operations with the sole purpose of attacking and killing civilians. If you do maintain that, then I think it shows a little naivete on your part.
