I'd fire the missile at a target that would not net a secondary explosion, such as a tree or spot on the ground, close to the house itself. The resulting explosion would be rather unlikely to kill anyone, but may injure and/or incapactitate anyone in the house. THen everyone lives and you might get a prisoner.

You have failed your exam. Its called stalking the kill, and is a rather routine practice when hunting. Plus if they were shooting on my house, I know the terrain like the back of my hand (wait where did that mole come from? ) There is no "out of range" for me.

And maybe, juuuuust maybe, if the 'courageous' hezbollah didn't hide themselves and their rocket launchers in suburban family neighborhoods for the EXPRESS purpose of racking up civilian deaths for their own propaganda .... well maybe this sort of thing wouldn't happen.

But that's just my opinion of murderous bastards and their filthy subhuman tactics ... your mileage may vary.

To be serious for a moment in a thread that I don't feel like being serious in, I should state that descriptions of these individuals as terrorists is incorrect. They are in fact retaliating against oppression, which technically makes them rebels or freedom fighters. Only since the U.S. recast all those who oppose them (and their allies) as terrorists or supporters of terrorism has this euphemism found itself being invoked ad nauseam on forums. However, I understand if you need to cling to the euphemism as it obviates your need to consider that they might have a valid reason for their struggle.

However, I still prefer to call them terrorists since they carry out murderous attacks on civilians by choice. Indeed, civilians are their preferred target, not military. Also there's that creed of theirs calling for the complete destruction of Israel and the death of jews.

But as I said before, your mileage may vary, as may your rationality.

The exact same thing could be said for Israel at the moment. Denying reciprocity in war perpetuates it.

I disagree. I may be wrong as the evil government backed media is my primary source of news, but I highly doubt that Israel places their military in civilian neighborhoods forcing the terro -- oops, freedom fighters to engage in areas guaranteeing high civilian fatalities.

I also highly doubt that the Israeli military planners deliberately seek out completely civilian targets in an effort to generate fear. You can claim this all you like, till you're blue in the face, but that won't make it true.

So no, I don't believe that the same thing could be said of Israel.

Must I? Irregardless of whatever sort of 'press' you read, I find it vanishingly hard to believe that either the US or Israeli military plans military operations with the sole purpose of attacking and killing civilians.

If you do maintain that, then I think it shows a little naivete on your part.
