The alternative in sl is to be genital-free for men. If they don't have an attachable penis then they have none at all. I have given one to newcomers just to help them psychologically with the trauma of being a ken doll. I know it may sound crazy but some men have a big fear of being emasculated. Others maybe have no such worries and embrace the opportunity, who knows. I tend to know only the former and assume that there are more men who like to be equipped.

So unless one has a phobia of genitals, I don't see what the problem would be. There are no painted penii (or at least, I haven't seen a skin with one) so unless one wants to be a ken doll, one needs equippment from somewhere, doesn't one?

As for not discriminating against how others play, slapping someone in the head would seem to be a pretty clear indication of disapproval, as well as an act of aggression.

Why would You go to a (Mature) sim populated by Furrys and then rant about them being oversexed? lol. i dont get it. Maybe they need a children's account where they
are confined to pg sims only so as not to damage their delicate sense of themselves and the world. Im wondering what their views are on the rest of SL. Are they against porn in all of second life? Are they just offended by furry forn? lol..Are they against sex in general? or is it just sex in second life they find disturbing? Do they not like the idea of Mature sims? what are there views on homosexuality? sex before marriage? rofl they seem pretty uptight to me to be so offended.
What do they think about BDSM Clubs and Sex Clubs in general? Im curious if they will show up at one these other sex clubs and proceed to complain about all the porn images and how theyre are too many of U/us.

Im not a furry and i can say from the few i have met and talked to and from the forum posts here Furrys are pretty nice fun minded people and creative to say the least.

We're artists and art appreciators first (mind you, Disney (sic) WB and a few others) are primary insparation for many furs, we also are inspired by each other. (furry porn, is 10% of the art that is out there, give or take based on artist's likes)

Stereotypes happen, due to leaps of logic based on first impressions, not the first, not the last, not the only group to get em, just... well, ask anyone who is on the SA forum, and they'll tell you, the fur haters are agressive there, but they have furs too, and people indiferrent to the politics.

Some furs are for intermingling (can't stay in our little world as much as some would like, especially in SL) others would rather see furs stay to themselves, other sare indifferent, again...

People, in general, need to learn to stop throwing blanket statements out...

and how about the fact that 40 % or so of the women in second life are really men in real life.

what we choose to be or not to be in second life is for our enjoyment. not yours or any ones elses witch is the main reason i would think most people are here for the shear enjoyment of the experience.

Awwww... I was gonna go on and on about how Kathmandu should like, shut up and start making skins worth showing off, and off about Luskwood and the quality vs price of their avs, and this and that, but I'm in too good of a mood tonite to hurt any feelings or express my opinion. In fact I did show off my skins at the Avatar Expo recently and my sales indicate a lot of folks do like my skins. I've had lots of people come up to me and say they love my work. I think I have had maybe 5 people in the last year and a half that wanted a refund or exchange. One man's crappy is another man's money in the bank.

As for your kind request, no. As long as it is on topic and is allowed by the forum owners, freedom of speech is still a right granted to all Americans. Then again I'm not exactly flooding the world with them as you make it sound. I have two on Playmouse of a pinup Okapi avatar, a link to my VCL page on Planetfurry (by request), 9 furs in wetsuits, diving on an underwater forum that is owned by a furry and is in game and has posted dozens of his own (none are my avatars btw) and I put those same 9 in a folder on my Aquafurs Yahoo Group. I think that's about it in the last 6 months. Considering the amount of badly drawn fat gay wolf/tenticle porn in the world, NOTHING I have ever done, no matter how badly done you think it is, should even cause a blip on your radar. (unless, of course, you are mad because I haven't done enough badly drawn fat gay wolf/tenticle porn..soooorrrreee)

If anyone doesn't like my avatars/skins, don't bad mouth me. Pull out your computer and use your mad Photshop skillz to use and put me out of business! Please! I promise I will buy them if they are better than what is available.

No one was selling furry skins when I started playing SL, in fact there was probably fewer than 50 furries total back then. People were using the leopard and carpet fabric textures as a body tattoo simply because there was nothing better. I filled a need. If anyone can produce a more realstic furry skin, please sell it because the game needs it. I'll keep doing my thing though until people stop buying my stuff, m'kay?

No, please go off in person about the "quality vs price of our avs", and the awesome and unstoppable month you've been here that makes you judge and jury on pricing and the economy.

i was referring to Furnation Alpha landmark as being a mature sim..as this is what seems to have been what the orignal poster was complaining about....they arrived in Furnation and according to them it was covered with porn....so i dont understand why someoen would go to a mature sim anyway and proceed to complain about the content.
out of curiosity, i and some friends went there last night and what i saw was nothing of what is portrayed in the post...upon landing i went inside a building that contained some explicit drawings and artwork of naked furrys/animals but most of the pictures are far from what i would consider actual porn..and actually were quite good and obviously these artists are all quite talented...

Already well on the way to creating the highest resolution, quality skins (not to mention unique), textures, and body parts I've seen, to date. Thanks for the extra encouragement. Only difference is, I design things for the sake and pleasure of designing em. So look for my free and super low cost vendors around within 6 months (got some RL work stuff that'll take me away from SL for a long while). Could care less about making money.

Only reason I'm seeing this thread is because someone went "look at these morons" on IRC and posted the link. It's actually been quite amusing to see the anti-fur-ism and what people base their views off of. And then what is countered with.



Unfortunately, many if the pictures there are taken and posted without the artist's knowledge and/or permission and then sold purely for the gain of whomever posted the artwork, despite being good or not. And the Furnation sim is not what you want to judge the furry population of SL on; they're pretty much bottom of the barrel when it comes to "our" population. That place tends to house the undesirables.
