This people and mafias(Im not trying to say all of them are mafias) love to come and give people trouble, F.E. a few days ago 3 people filled my place with giant robots or like a week ago with this idiot that left a giant 'Furs out' sign in our sandbox, but still this happen to all people not only the furs, even furs love to fight with each other a lot not to mention all the drama we produce, also yes we've contributed to SL a lot as long as all other people in the game, we must not forget this, recently I heard that a good portion of the people in SL are furs, like 80% I dont find that true even when I heard that info from a good source but still we live in a mixed comunity, still we are a lot but we are somewhat unorganized, divided in factions, so if we want to fight against that we must be together in this and not splitted as furs love to be.

I would find even 10% a high number, honestly. It's just that furs seem to attract other furs... Even when I'm not in a furry area (rarely), furries seem to find their way to me whatever I'm doing. Animal magnetism taking on a whole new meaning. It kinda skews perception. Now, a lot of people *have* furry avatars... But only use them as a change, or just 'cuz, and aren't in any other respect a furry. Cubey Terra is often seen wearing a Grey Fox avatar, for example, but he's not a furry. _____________________

Now, a lot of people *have* furry avatars... But only use them as a change, or just 'cuz, and aren't in any other respect a furry. Cubey Terra is often seen wearing a Grey Fox avatar, for example, but he's not a furry. And there's a few, like myself, that have an interest in things furry but, well... to be honest, in some quarters of the furry subculture the inmates do appear to be running the asylum. So I wear furry avs fairly often, have furry friends, even hang out in furry sims on occasion, but I can't really bring myself to get into things. _____________________

Yes, furries are cheap! The (accurate) stereotype of the 300lbs virgin male who lives in his moms basement and showers once a month..that's yer typical furry. Not much in the way of disposable income. Hopefully they will stick in "AnsheCorp presents "The Forest" ![]() *looks down on his collar, sees a PFC rank. Then he looks over to his right sholder sees a Keystone state patch above a American flag.* Last I step on the scale I was 190. Guess I dont fit the stereotype ^.^ |

I might as well chime in here; my posts tend to end up thread-killers and I might be doing a service for those who are tired of seeing this particular one.
![]() While I may not understand what makes furries tick, I'd much rather have them as neighbors than your typical human avatar; at least with the fuzzy ones, the chances are very good that they'll build pleasing nature-oriented things on their plots. Not all of them have good building sense, though. There's one fur in my otherwise lovely neighborhood who seems to have a thing for hot pink full-bright boxes and other variations on the obnoxiously-pink-and-ugly theme. Oy. But at least he appears to be the exception rather than the rule. Thankfully. Final Verdict: Fur is fine. EDIT: Yes, furries in SL are STILL fine, even when they're just basic-account holders. ![]() Allrighty, I think I've filled up my random furry discussion quota for the year. |

I've played weres and furries on off world chat services.. here I don't have the desire (I invest alot of 'me' into my persona). As for cross-fur/nonfur relationships, roleplayed them as well. In one case a drow/feline pairing. persoanlly I wouldn't care if my sl girlfriend was a furry or not, or an android or not.
A persons skin or fur..or on sl, construction material and texture, does not matter. its the personality. And trust me, on sl, a furry kiss is as good as a nonfurry kiss. They are both still pixels. |

To those that can't accept people for who they are and stereotype people based on their tastes and preferences: I'm sorry, could you get in line and shut up? Learn how to accept things or quit throwing dirt in people's eyes. It's annoying, and some may take offence to it much like a religious person would if I said their ways were wrong.
Heck, I could rant and rave about people's inability to type, or gripe about some punk-rocker dude's bright green spiked hair or something, but I don't because that's his/her choice or lack thereof. It's kinda like Bush dropping in on those other countries and murdering thousands of people to no true cause other than he wants attention. Stereotyping is a bad thing, and y'gotta admit, there's probably some kind of stereotype about your own culture or religion or whatever. Point: Don't sling dirt unless you expect to get it slung back. I, myself, disagree with alot of things in the 'furry' community, but y'know, I don't go opening my arms to war and disputes that are, really, just plain stupid. To those that remain neutral or accept another's tastes: Way to go! We need more people like you in the world. Frankly, I think people that pick on others just because of something they believe in or how they prefer to appear or what-have you should be stood out in a crowd of those people they dislike, tied to a pole and pushed into understanding. Something that's been said time and time again is that people fear or dislike what they don't understand. So.. maybe if they decided to go somewhere with an open mind, forced or not, they might learn something and quit slandering someone else (or their beliefs and preferences) based on though things. Pardon the long post. I'm in a fairly bad mood and that only served to disgust me. Serves you right to get banned, if this is what you do. EDIT: A persons skin or fur..or on sl, construction material and texture, does not matter. its the personality. And trust me, on sl, a furry kiss is as good as a nonfurry kiss. They are both still pixels. Personality. Now there's a valid thing to look at. Kudos. Yes, please.. if you'd rather not like someone, make it a valid reason. If it's something like "OMG! You wear a Linux shirt! You suck!", well.. I hope you live a short, unfruitful life filled with anguish and suffering. Do us a favor and get out of the gene pool or something, or take the time to get to know someone rather than base your opinion of an entire group/culture/religion on a single bad apple or something stupid like outward appearance. ..for that matter, guys with the green spiked hair? I just used you as an example, no offence meant. I've heard complaints about it and think they're stupid, myself. I bet there's a big chance that there's someone with spiked green hair that is smooth and easy-going, despite likes for the "punk" look and death metal. |

The (accurate) stereotype of the 300lbs virgin male who lives in his moms basement and showers once a month..that's yer typical furry. Funny. I'm a furry and I'm a female in real life. Oh *GASP* And I live on my own... *DOUBLE GASP* Oh and I shower every morning. *TRIPLE GASP*. Though I do agree with you that there is too much drama in the furry community, but then, there's too much drama online period. I can't think of one subculture on the internet that isn't ruled over by the soap opera gods. Personally, if someone starts drama around me, I simply leave. Anyway, so much for your " ![]() |

This is nothing more than common racism...and no it doesn't matter that furries are not a 'real' racial group or ethnicity. The attitude is exactly the same. Stereotyping any group based on experiences with a few of that groups members is called bigotry. And I really HATE bigots of any kind.
Everything you can say negative about any individual furry or any group of furries I can prove to be equally true of any other group you choose. I have had horrible experiences personally with abusive men...does that mean all men are abusive rapists? Hardly. I have seen more invisible attachments on regular 'human' avatars than anywhere else in SL. I have had as much or more rudeness from normal 'human' avatars in SL as from any furries or non-humans. I have experienced a lifetime of racism, bigotry, nastiness and rudeness from people who happened to be 'white' in real life (I am American Indian)...does that mean I should stereotype all 'white' people as rude, nasty, opportunistic arses and hate them and slander them as a whole group? Sheesh. This type of ignorance is what fuels my depression and makes me despair for the entire human species. *Shakes her head in disgust and walks away* _____________________

This thread is the most stupidest that I ever read.
I've seen the most smallest head than the body. Some has huge ass. Some are fur. Some tiny. Some adult as a child. Why? Because Second Life allows everyone to be different whatever they like to be. That is what an avatar is for. Hey, they are happy and they prefer this way! That isn't a crime! And we are not asking YOUR permission what YOU want us to wear. I'm sorry that you can't stand what they look like, I bet you are very limited with fewest "perfect" friends. You must feel lonely and bored everyday. ![]() I rather to be friends with everyone in any style as long as they respect me as much as I respect them. Different IS good. Well, have fun. Life is short, quit being judge others. Oh btw, Don't be judge what they look. Get to know them first, okay? ![]() Good day, ~xia *hugs* |

to my understanding on the mainland and some very private sims.. and I think there is more human avatars than furry avas.. because little amounts of 'human avatars' have sims that are invisable on map and access only.. I am both, currently human for now.. but I gotten so many comments saying "whats with the flesh" or "Ethen! your a Human".. I get alittle on the edge when I hear alot..
no one isn't taking diffirance well... also when i was 'furrish' when i was helping someone with terraforming... he told me to change into human... because it would be professional, thought it was an insult to me .I just said "oh, ok" and moved on many people don't join because they 'fear' diffirance, they fear furrys, or fear hackers.. or fear trickers... I am pissed that what people say that isn't true and grows out like wildfire... one person trying to make a goal and there is another person to beat him or her to that goal. if you don't like something try to get over it unless its a life or death problem, and without making drama... there is some things I can see about removing furry attachments but for temporalty periods of time... people have reasons being who they want to be, they shouldn't be forced to do otherwise - me _____________________
