He's not as stupid as his followers.
And the followers of the "we don't have any agenda and all we can say is we aren't republicans" democrats are smart? LOL Both political parties in this country suck. One is not better than the other. The democrats are power hungry and have been exploiting the ignorant, minority, and poor and to cling to power or gain it for decades. The Republicans really don't give a fuck about anyone or anything except cash. Why can't the Libertarian party really make some headway in this country, ohh yeah, Americans are too lazy to stand up for what they "believe".

Why can't the Libertarian party really make some headway in this country, ohh yeah, Americans are too lazy to stand up for what they "believe". Are you assuming I'm a Democrat? In any case the silly notion that the Democratic Party has no agenda is a another RW spin that it seems you have bought. Democrats stand for personal liberty and the right of the family to decide it's personal matters without the guiding hand of Government interference. Democrats stand for civil liberties. Democrats stand for a strong economy based on a strong middle-class. Democrats stand for the belief that one must help the weakest amongst us in order to create a stronger society. I could go on. Libertarians are by-in-large selfish people who knowingly or not follow the bizzaro inclinations of Ayn Rand. They are little more than Republicans who want to smoke pot. Apparently you are under the delusion that only Libertarianism is worth standing up for. In any event, as I've said many times -- I'm not a Democrat. I'm a socialist that works within the Democratic Party to foster change. I'm an active political activist that spends most of her time on Civil Rights issues, and I'm a card carrying member of the ACLU.

Domestically, well, he certainly hasn't drowned anyone at Chappaquiddick, that we know of, yet. disclaimer: making a slightly morbid yet non-partisan joke about one of the more grave political gaffes made in my lifetime. any similarity to any politicians, living or dead, is only marginally coincidental.

This is complete BS. He actually got a higher standardized test score than John Kerry. If I can find the link, I will edit/paste it here. But in the meantime, do a little research of your own!

Can we just get rid of the this theocracy? I am sick of the reactionary, bible-thumping, science-dissing morons that permeate the war mongering administation? And the corruption among the members of the Bush administration! I'll take an Oval Office blow job any time over this!

But in the meantime, do a little research of your own! Was this test administered before or after years of alcoholism and cocaine abuse destroyed what little brain cells the Yale cheerleader possessed?

Why can't the Libertarian party really make some headway in this country, ohh yeah, Americans are too lazy to stand up for what they "believe". Actually Eboni I'm pretty much with you on this one. I think both parties suck, but I'm not really sure who can stand in either. I think that by the time the majority of Americans wake up and decide to go to the polls and do the other things they need to to stand up for what they believe in, they will have lost the majority of their freedoms, their jobs, their environment will suck and we will be bordering on a real internal uprising. I'm not exactly a Libertarian because I do believe that there are people in society that will never be able to care for themselves and that I have a responsibility toward them. I also think that it is critical that we take care of things inside our own country, infrastructure, schools and healthcare. On the other hand, I do believe in personal responsibility and think we have gone way to far in making others responsible for our own stupidity and it has really hurt our country. Somehow we have lost our sense of balance. GWB and his cronies are crooks but it's our own fault, we put them in office and we set up the environment that makes it impossible for anyone honest to get elected by allowing them to be crucifed in the media or by not getting off of our asses and voting.

This is the kind of elitist "everybody who disagrees with me is an idiot" frame of mind that turns a lot of people off. Both sides of the political divide is guilty of this, of course. It's easy to dismiss people with differing opinion as incomprehensible. But wouldnt it be more productive to try to understand the motivations of these people instead? I could talk about empathy, and loving you neighbors, etc. But if you're in a more combative mood, think about what Sun Tzu said about knowing your enemies.

Nowhere do I say that people who disagree with me are idiots.
I am just writing here what I think, nothing more. Are you suggesting I should not be allowed to do that?

From: Alexa Hope Nowhere do I say that people who disagree with me are idiots. I did not mean to imply that you actually said it. What I meant, and perhaps it was not clear, was: What you said -- that people voting for GWB were incomprehensible -- shows a *frame of mind* that is dismissive of opposing views as not worthy of understanding. The quote "everybody who disagrees with me is an idiot" served to illustrate that frame of mind. In hindsight, perhaps the that was too strident, so I apologize. From: someone I am just writing here what I think, nothing more. Are you suggesting I should not be allowed to do that?
I'm not suggesting that at all. Nowhere did I say that you should not be allowed to say what you think. I dont think there was any part of my post that even suggestred you should be censored, other than by your own good judgement. You are allowed to say whatever is in your mind (within the bounds of the TOS), and you should be allowed. I merely remarked that what you said was off-putting to a lot of people. And instead of dismissing people (millions of americans!) as incomprehensible, why not try to understand them?

He read "My Pet Goat" to school children in Florida. Granted, it was while the country was under attack, but that's neither here nor there.

I don't really have any love for Bush, but I'm glad he cut my taxes.
The less the government steals my money, the less harm it can do.
And come on.. I hope you can realize that picture with the book is photoshopped. There are enough things to criticize about Bush, that people don't really need to make stuff up like that.

I admit this one was photoshopped. Notice the red circle...

No United States Government has stolen more money from its people than the present administration. There has never been a BIGGER Government than this one under GWB. There has never been so much reckless spending. There has never in the history of human kind been a bigger Government. If you are rich enough to have had your taxes cut by this President, than I can only conclude that you're a drain on our society. Whyt don't you move to Haliburtistan?
