a machine recount will result in the same exact count. sheeeesh. Do you not understand that it's the software at issue --not the ballot?

I love how you said the exact same thing as before, but quoted my entire post in it without responding to it. Very clever.

...

In short, recounts do not create a more accurate result. And you're still missing my main point - that 118,000+ votes is too large a margin to recount, no matter the election. In recounts, it's not the percentage difference that's important, but the difference in vote totals. A 500-vote difference is small and can conceivable be changed in a recount, whether it's 1% of the vote or 10%. A 118,000 vote difference probably is too much for the overall outcome to be changed in a recount, whether that 118,000 votes is 10%, 5%, or 1%.

This may seem obvious, but in recounts, the odds of overturning the result decrease with the larger the separation in votes. Over 10,000 votes and the odd of changing the overall result is about the same as the odd of the best DNA sample being wrong. At 118,000 votes the election wasn't worth recounting, and Kerry knew that.

One of the articles did say the votes in question amounted to over 300,000, but there is so much inane crap to wade through that the more valid complaints get lost.

If there was in fact fraud in the election, I would bet any amount of money that the fraud extends to Bushies writing bizzare websites to discredit the legitimate ones. If so, I bet they even were cited by RFK jr. too.

I believe that if the democrats and left did not have such a myopic view and could see more than "everything Bush does is wrong and evil," they might have had the credibility to win the last election. But that's just my opinion and I don't have any websites to back it up either, so don't ask.

Same thing happened to my post too.

I'm still waiting for a response as to whether its RFK's article or the sources that was the proof.

I suspect it will be a long, long time before there is a response. Maybe that's why the forums are being closed. Hmmmmmmm.....

Save the Apostrophe!

Kendra, honestly, I realize this is the Internet, but must we totally butcher the Noble Apostrophe?

It's = It is

So therefore, "back up it's claims" means "back up it is claims". Now I think we can all agree that doesn't make any sense. After a possessive it there is no apostrophe, just like there isn't for "hers". As in, the bike was hers. Now, if you wrote that the bike belonged to a specific person, or to people in general, you would need a posessive apostrophe: The bike was Mike's, or The bike was [nobody's/anybody's/someone's].

BTW, I'm only mentioning this because you ragged on someone's spelling earlier. :)

ragging on my spelling isn't hard, I have never claimed to be a decent speller (?) its something I struggle with.

theres alot about her that yall don't see that our local news covers

Oh, gee. The ADL condemns her. That's like a compliment.

Anyway, what does this have to do with the points I made about what she's contributed (almost alone)? Nobody addresses that ... just sidesteps to picking at what faults they can get at.

Meh. I give up. We deserve what we're getting, and we deserve what we're going to get all too soon. I'm beginning to welcome it.

True. But I was trying to make a point about glass houses, rocks, etc. Now If I were to rag on your spelling, that'd be totally OK. ;)

EDIT: Hey, I think this was my 500th post! Yay! :)

I'm just saying, if you want to celebrate her despite her faults and the fact that her own district couldn't stomach her complaining anymore, go right ahead. Yeah we have all seen what she has contributed  there is a reason she lost in the primary.

Of course, there's nothing to complain about. Ingsoc is doubleplus good, after all. I welcome the new completely spineless and/or hopelessly corrupt Congress and am personally glad that its members will no longer presume to question our Emporer about anything truly serious.

Yippie.

I don't mind strong willed congressmen, however when one is a racist and a moron like McKinney they shouldn't be let anywhere near Washington.

For a moron, she sure seemed to be aware rather quickly of the 9/11 deceptions and conflicts of interest, not to mention gutsy enough to speak out.

But I guess safer is better. We wouldn't want any boats rocked.
