Anyone who doesn't understand Cake's jabs at the status quo BETTER LISTEN CLOSER!

She doesn't care whether or not he's an island
She doesn't care just as long as his ship's coming in
She doesn't care whether or not he's an island
They laugh they make money
He's got a gold watch
She's got a silk dress and healthy breasts
that bounce on his Italian leather sofa.
She doesn't care whether or not he's a good man
She doesn't care just as long as she still has her friends
She doesn't care whether or not he's an island
they laugh, they make money
He's got a gold watch
She's got a silk dress and healthy breasts
That bounce on his Italian leather sofa
She's got a serrated edge
that she moves back and forth
It's such a simple machine she doesn't have to use force
When she gets what she wants,
she puts the rest on a tray in a ziplock bag
[REPEAT]

She doesn't care whether or not he's an island
She doesn't care just as long as his ship's coming in
She doesn't care whether or not he's an island

I heard 'Bad Sneakers' at the supermarket the other day. I don't think people listen to the lyrics of these songs, but I was amused that little kids could hear it. I wonder if they think 'Everyone's Gone To The Movies' is just a peppy little ditty?

I *love* hearing groups like Steely Dan in the supermarket--I sheepishly (nods to Mal. Morning, Mal. :D) walk around pushing my cart singing out loud. Sometimes, I am all wrong. :D

I am currently listening to the ever louder gurgling of my stomach. I need to record this. My stomach rocks out, hard. It just needs a hook and a really cool band name.

As a matter of fact, Radio Nigel is on the short list of stations I stream on my property...I guess I'm easy to profile.

Dianne, Euterpe hipped me to this station at her house a couple weeks ago. :) And I sent DJ Steve a request, along with a Snapzilla shot of Eu and me dancing. And he PLAYED the song soon thereafter --- Toto Coelo's "I Eat Cannibals"! I hadn't heard it since, like, '82!

AND, when I checked my Gmail accounta bit later? I found a letter from that very Steve, responding to the request and the photo, thus:

"Looks like you guys have an interesting thing going on with your site."

I can only imagine the puzzled look on his face ... ;)

Oh, and: Just last week I sent him Javier Puff's new SL trailer. So who knows!

My horse is a shackled old man; his - his remorse- was that he could not survey the skies very far.

FLYING OVER A GREAT BAY!

*cue explosion of wondrous sound*

- System of a Down, "Jet Pilot"

Armenian sounds are awesome when mixed with rock! :)

It's one of only three or so that i listen too myself. As to profiling, you made the mistake of listing 80's tunes that were actually good/obscure etc. as oposed to what you find on a regular 80's station.

That was the giveaway. :)
