I'm listening to J-Lo at the moment, pleasant background noise while I get up to my waist in error messages and faulty variables :(

Stuff in my office? The girl from upstairs who works in content keeps coming down with text message campaigns she needs setting up... The other programmers are in the room, silently contemplating their code... Every so often an email pops into the operations email address with a URL to some humour site :) It's an alright work environment... Oh and some guy is working a garden strimmer to death outside... :)

You guys want to share my online jukebox with me? I've some spare bandwidth this month. I've got a few good tracks in there (well I think, anyway). It's MP3 @ 128kbps.

Sorry Willow, wrong time for me to be a smart ass. :o

I would be going mad as well - I am very easily irritated by noise of the non-musical variety.

I get plenty of it here where I live - the next-door neighbor to the east is retired and his hobby is mowing the lawn 1000 times per summer, and cutting trees up with a chainsaw. The guy to the west fixes Harleys, so I get to listen to him rev the motorcycle engines all the damned time. Not to mention, he has two labrador retriever hunting dogs which he claims are well trained - yet they bark, all day, every day...

LOL! It's ok, I wouldn't mind if they were building my new office, but they are just knocking down my old one!

Ha ha that's put a smile on my face... I'm picturing now a little cartoon of a tall thin house, hedged in by a maniac pensioner with a very worn mower, and a big Hell's Angel with a lawn full of Harley parts and half dissassembled bikes, being circled by a pack of angry looking dogs, then in the middle, the tall thin house has an immaculate lawn and it's sunny. A little spot of calm in the middle of a mad neighbourhood :)

You're not very far off!

The Harley guy (I have nothing against Harleys, and have and do own bikes myself) had the nerve to complain to the city that I had an old car parked beside the garage! It was a bit rusty, but registered, insured, and all that. He does have motorcycle parts all over the place - the nerve!

I love the way some people break all the rules, get away with it, then complain about the tiniest little things they can in relation to their neighbours :)

Here in the UK we used to have a show on TV, "Neighbours From Hell" :p

Ha ha, like that coke ad where the young guy comes up on the window cleaning rig, and he's drinking the coke and spilling it all over his chest, and all the women are like "oh yeah....." :p Nah, back in the real world it's just good ole' fat old builders whistling as you go past :D

Different day, different tunes:

(My most sincere sonic regrets going out to Willow, Jsecure, and Nolan)

Joy Division "Means to an End"
Lesbians on Ecstasy "Kundstant Kroving"
REM "Nightswimming"
The Beautiful South-"Carry on up the Charts" (the whole thing)
The Smiths "Meat is Murder" (the whole thing)
Pink "Oh My God"
Sun Kil Moon "Ghosts of the Great Highway" (the whole thing)

Yay for coffee! Yay for MP3s!

WTF is C3PO supposed to be USEFUL for anyway, besides whining? Stupid piece of scrap metal would be more useful recycled as a toaster. But even that would suck, because who would want to listen to a whining wussy toaster? Is he gold plated? If that's the case he should just be melted down into gold ingots. Help the economy some, and stop being so damn useless you stupid bucket of bolts! R2 is 1,000 times more useful than your tin man ass, and he's shaped like a salt and pepper shaker FFS!

What have I been listening to lately, and just right now ..... ?

Sandy Denny : The North Star Grassman and the Ravens
Green Day : International Superhits
Pink Floyd : Animals, The Wall, Obscured by Clouds

Provoking thoughts for the day respectively.....

(a) Why oh why did Sandy have to die ?
(b) I don't feel quite as young as I used to be, but who cares :P
(c) Hey Roger & Dave - let's have the 'real' Floyd back on a long term basis.

*Sighs*, back to work *groan*....

Winter Hours - 'The Confessional' (I've been looking for this on CD for years and years, and finally found a place to order it! Yay!)

Uncle Kracker - 'Drift Away'

Suzi Quatro - 'The Wild One'

(Okay, they can't all be winners, but I was honest!)

at least they didn't play "Puff the Magic Dragon" today... *sigh*

The worst part? I've been listening to this station for a year now, and they've got me singing along... lol
